| Posts: n/a | So here's my dilemma: I have herpes. Not very often, at first I had out-breaks regularly. Now I only have them if I get really really stressed out. That means that most of the time I'm not contagious. I want to be honest about it, and it's frustrating when I see "drug and disease free," though I completely understand. I don't imagine too many people would want to "swing" with someone like me. The risk is more than some want to deal with. Anyone have any thoughts? |

Unless you are a single bi female, then you might get a few couples who want one so bad they will risk it. Otherwise, no one in their right mind would risk the slightest chance of contracting herpes to be with you. Assuming you are single man or part of a couple, there are just too many others out there, why risk it? And if you don't tell people, that's a horrible thing to do. But I bet if you run your own ads, instead of answering others, and state clearly what you status is health-wise, I am sure there are probably a lot of singles and couples out there who also have Herpes and probably are in the same position as you |

That is the most important thing in this situation as it wouldn't be fair to give a std to an unsuspecting person. It is something (as you are well aware of) that they will need to deal with for the rest of thier life. I agree with what was said before by Liza about the posts. You should advertise as you are, honestly as simply. That way there you are not put in the awkward situation of explaining before hand. Lay all the cards on the table and let that person deside. Again- your honesty is refreshing!!! Thank you for not hiding it. |

There are plenty out there and as said before that is really your best bet. You won't find many (if any) swingers who don't have herpes willing to take the chance of contracting it. (It has been shown that you may still be contagious even when you don't have an outbreak). However, if you restrict your swinging to those already infected then you can all have a stress-free time since you have been open and honest and have no worries of contracting anything you/they don't already have.
