Condom Use in the lifestyle

Talking to quite a few people who are swingers I have come across some who will not use condoms and have no intention to. Others will use precautions if you request them to. Why is this? I can understand latex allergies I have a friend wiht it but to now use any protection of any kind somewhat baffles me. Are there a lot of people out in the lifestyle who feel this way or are these people more the exception than the rule..I have just come across so mnay lately it is making me wonder how many out there feel this way..

Unfortunately, as with everything.. the lifestyle is a real cross section of society.. so just as there are plenty of people in the general population that hate or refuse to use condoms.. they exist in the lifestyle as well. You will hear every excuse in the book.. even "there are no diseases in the lifestyle".. and that's bullshit. Go with your gut and CYA. If they won't wrap find someone who will (it's your life and health on the line).

They may think they are as clean as a newborn baby but they don't know everything about everyone they've been with, and many diseases can be carried and passed with no symptoms at all.

I think it goes back to that swingers are just a cross-section of overall society.. in general there are people who will use protection (if asked) people who always do and people who just won't. So obviously this would carry over into swinging.
