Let me rephrase that. We have quite using them together because she seems to be developing a mild irritation over time. Whatever the lubricant is she seems to be developing a reaction to it. (we used them for most of two years without a problem, after she moved in and we were around each other more often she seemed to start developing a reaction) We quite using them together so that she wouldn't develop an allergic reaction and not be able to use them with others. I have gotten to where I use nothing but non-latex, before I met her I used non-lubricated trojans. Anyone have any luck finding a non-lubricated Polyurethane condom? |

Ok - Well I feel better now. Nice to know I am not the only female out there that is allergic to Trojan brand condoms(especially those with nonoxynal-nine). We personally prefer the Lifestyles ultra sensitive thin or Lifestyle xtra pleasure, though Durex is my second choice. I know this is a little off the topic , but similar.....Anyone hereever experience allergic sensitivity to certain brands of toilet paper , such as Charmin? I get the same reaction to it, almost, as I do the condoms , but along with the burning itch, comes a red rash and extreme swelling. Let me know - I'm curious! Debra |

My hubby is deathly allergic to latex and rubber, so this has been very helpful. Thanks....

Unfortunately there are many people who find out in an uncomfortable way that they are sensitive to Latex. You will find that this limits your choices when it comes to the use of protection, but do not allow that to get in the way of being sensible. Look for condoms made of lambskin (NaturaLamb). They are quite comfortable although expensive. Lately, however, there comes a new choice, POLYURETHANE. They are only slightly more expensive than LATEX, but considerably less than NaturaLamb, and just as effective. You will find that you will have no sensitivity issues with POLYURETHANE. My Princess and I have been using them for quite some time because of HER sensitivity to LATEX. Enjoy. |
