| Posts: n/a | If someone has HPV on their genital region can that person still pass it on through their mouth? say if they gave oral sex? i didn't know if it affected all bodily fluids or not? how about fingering a girl that has HPV?? will that hurt you? |

| Your Hostess Join Date: Nov 2002 Posts: 22,268 Location: Alabama Status: Female SLS Name:swingersboard Blog Entries: 59 | Sounds like you might be confusing HPV (genital warts) with Herpes (which has both oral and genital versions as well as others (which may all be the same anyway). There is nothing on the CDC website that gives one any reason to believe that HPV can be transmitted orally. It is logical to assume that those that are sexually active with more than the average population have increased chances for exposure. 1 in 5 males according to the CDC statistics, due to the fact that it is easier for the female to recieve than pass it. Genital warts isnt far behind. If you show no symptoms most of the time STD tests are inconclusive anyhow. Latex condoms are not totally effective at preventing "shedding" of the virus in between active stages. The virus is generally more socially damaging than physically anyhow. | |
