Again I am sorry if I offended anyone, that was not my intentions. When I said that, I did not mean to implied that a lady was broken because of a natural function of the female body. Not as in the sents of my body being broken with two froms of cancer which is now starting to effect my eye sight. Ok I will just go over here in the corner of the room, sit down and keep my mouth shut.

Okay, this is interesting. Hubby and I don't play during my period (his deal, not mine)....so I never knew lube was important. I guess I always figured the blood would make things nice and slippery. Not so????

Mrs two4you uses the term when referring to herself.
Even though it isn't accurate, it's a figure of speech that is common at least in this corner of the swinging world.

I think most of us understand enough about biology to know she isn't really broken.

Hell, on the occasions I've struggled to achieve an erection, I've made the comment "My dick is broken", even though it's just a little bit tired.

Well, initially it does make things pretty slippery...however, with the motion and any air circulation (fans, ac vents in the room ect)...it starts to dry and is very sticky/tacky feeling...it can be uncomfortable after a while. And in the instance of playing with others and condom use...yeah...been there, done that, broke the condom because they thought the need to lube wasn't there either. Live and learn. lol

I've been in two long-term relationships, and I really liked the fact that both of those women still desired sex while on their period. Maybe breaking the taboo is just slightly fun, but I really admire when a woman still craves sex during her period and isn't turned-off by her period.

I would be willing to have sex with a swing partner while she was on her period, but I'd prefer that I've built some level of trust with that partner before hand, and that both of us were previously tested.

I went to a LS party this past weekend, one that I had been really looking forward to a couple of months. My period started that afternoon. I have a single male partner that I attend these parties with and I let him know on the way to the party that I would be out of commission for sex. As this was away from home we did get a hotel room. I told him that he should do whatever he wanted as far as hooking up with others. (Not that he needs permission from me to have sex with others, just wanted him to not feel obligated to limit his activities due to my inability that night) We did meet up with a single gal that he wanted to take back to our room with us, which I was OK with. We explained to her I was on my period but was really OK with watching and a little participation. This gal was awesome and she & I did play with each other while he had sex with her. The next morning, she left after sex, he & I did have intercourse. Since we know each other & play together quite a bit I was comfortable having sex with him.

Bottom line, I've never had a problem having sex with a known long term partner while on my period I am very uncomfortable with someone I don't know as well. As far as a group encounter (even a 4some), not going to happen. The mess alone screws me up.

Needless to say I had a great time as the party, seeing old friends and making some new ones. I would let my period stop me from attending it would just limit my activities after the party.

My wife even when we were just dating loved to have sex during her period. Sometimes maybe not the first day or so but it never stopped her from wanting it and of course I just couldn't turn her down.http://www.swingersboard.com/forums/...lies/smile.gif

I haven't encountered a woman yet who wants to play (swing) on her period.... I have encountered a few guys who say they don't care. if it's at the end of my period where it's very light I will have sex with hubby... but beyond that ...not my thing.

We will still go to socials, clubs if I'm on my period, we just let people know that we aren't playing that night. If nothing else it gives you a chance to meet people there and get to know them then make arrangements to see them again later when mother nature is more agreeable.

We do not have this problem any more because of our age. But, we do have play partners that are still facing the problem. Many women get very passionate during their period. I love having a partner that is excited and if their period is causing this, so be it. Just add a few towels and have fun.

Since you posted your original question 8 days ago, I'm sure the first instance of your problem is over. However you say you have another function coming up at the same time that Aunt Flo is due to visit. You can postpone her visit for several days or for as long as you like--with your doctor's help. First let me say, since I am a physician, that it is unnatural (I didn't say "abnormal") for a woman to have a period every month! (I can explain that statement later if anyone is interested.) But if you can start taking birth control pills (they should be the kind that are all the same strength) immediately and if you take a pill containing the hormones every day until after your next event is over (you will need to use the first 21 pills out of two separate packages), you can then delay your next visit with Aunt Flo until after the event. But be sure to see your doctor (or if you know her/him well enough, maybe she/he would be willing to prescribe just a couple of packages with only a phone request from you--just tell him you have a family event coming up) and start the birth control pills ASAP! Have fun.

Yes, please, I'm curious.

Do you think it's okay to take these drugs for recreational purposes? What if you're over 40? How long can you take them for?

Actually, Avid, there is a lot of research about using birth control constantly, and even have a few formulas out there for such a purpose. Seasonale is one of the menstrual suppression formulas, etc. Search Yahoo, etc. using menstral suppression and you'll get a bunch of hits from universities, planned parenthood and city/county health departments talking about continuous use. I know the main point of their talking points is that the "period" one gets during the placebo week isn't a period at all, etc., but withdrawal bleed.

My MD allowed me to go on the pill continuously to avoid a cycle during my vacation next month, and prescribed 4 months continuous use of a low hormone formula and we'll see how it works out before continuing on.

Oh, and I'm about to turn 40, so my that's why my MD picked a low dose, and told me I absolutely cannot smoke, not even one puff, because of the age. But he wasn't averse to me using the pill continuously for the next four months.
