I agree with CXXC. The last of your worries should be "being dumped." If she dumps you for bringing up a subject ... ANY subject ... she's probably not a lady you want to hang your future happiness on, whether you swing or not. On our first date, Laura and I were discussing communication. (She had a degree in it ... and psychology.) She made a remark that couples needed to be able to talk about anything without fear of the other getting angry. Somewhere in the conversation, I suggested that the "spouse-swappers" probably had that part of their relationship down pat; otherwise they wouldn't be able to swap partners without conflict. After a four-hour conversation we went back to her place and had spectacular sex. On our second date, the next evening, in another four-hour conversation, we agreed that we probably had what it takes to make a marriage work and wanted to explore that possibility. We agreed to never become angry when the other asked a question and to answer it as completely as possible. It worked for almost thirty years ... including spectacular sex. ![]() Mr. Alura |
