Just a point of info, I was just posting this because of the similarities in thoughts, not that I thought, my old post needed a bump

Not exactly Romper Room, but when I was a little kid, waaay back in the day, the local TV station had an afternoon kids show. The star was this cowboy that would ride up and jump off his horse in to the middle of the stage to start the show. So my mom wrangled an invite for me to sit in the equivalent of the "Peanut Gallery" for this horsey show. The big day comes, we get to the TV station and get seated in the little side risers. I immediately noticed a lack of horses and fences, corral type stuff in the studio. There was a bald guy with headphones and a couple coconut halves off to the side though. Pretty soon the lights came up and the guy with the coconuts starts banging them on the table and then the cowboy host ran up to the stage, jumped up on a little bench and flung himself in front of the camera like he just jumped off a horse. Damn! Only five years old and I just learned they have been lying to me my entire life!!! I must have been really scarred emontionally that day, because I have carried a skepticism with me ever since! At any rate, perhaps getting to sit in on Romper Room might not have been such a good deal. Who knows what was REALLY behind that mirror?
