Gentlemen's Choice of Lingerie Colors

So now, a take off on Brit_Pair's post on favorite lingerie colors...Since his thread was responded to mainly by the females of the board, thought I would ask the same question of the men.

So men...when feasting your eyes upon your favorite lady (or ladies!) clad only in lingerie, what colors do YOU prefer to see them wearing?

Mrs. Alura's taste run to lavenders, oranges and yellows, EBF. Kinda like our den and kitchen, if you remember.

She used to have some lingerie but I haven't seen it in years. I wonder what happened to it??? She usually wears sheets when she's in bed.

It all depends on her skin tone and the lighting in the room. I only think about clothes and lingere if they are my own.

I prefer dark green on redheads like Mrs Fun, the combination makes every day feel like Christmas. Black on redheads is great too. We prefer lighter colors on blondes as the darker ones seem to bleach their skin out somewhat.

If it comes down to a single choice, then it's a close run thing between black and red . . . with black edging it at the line.

Damn if that didn't have me sweating.

I asked hubby for a response to this question .... and lordy, I thought it was gonna take an act of congress to get an answer out of him.

I don't know if it's because he's a Libra - - but he has to consider each of the choices, and then each situation that lingerie might be worn in conjunction with - and whether it is summer or winter, so he could envision the tan or lack thereof.

Part of this time I was on the phone with EBF and this epic mulling he was doing was driving her crazy - - she finally said, "Oh, for goodness sake! Ask him if he and I were going shopping to buy you some lingerie, which color would he buy?"

Soooo finally, reluctantly, he gave an answer. Cool blue.

"Good" said EBF, "he finally made a decision." But at that same time, hubby was adding .....

".....Or peach, you like peach - - and it's a good color for you, too. Or maybe one of those beige colors that has the lighter color beige lace....."

"Those were NOT among his choices!!!" sighed EBF over the phone. "How do you stand that?!"

"Well," I answered, "he's cute, you know. And I like him - quite a lot."

You'd think she would understand. After all, she's a Libra, too.

I'll second purple. Sandy has a dark purple number that rocks me every time she wears it... 'scuse me, i need to take a break!

Hubby says Black or Red. I personally prefer black because it's really hard to find the "right" red for a redhead!

Hmm... I voted 'other' because, like wrnakedru, it really depends on several factors: skin tone, body style, type of lingerie, mood... lots of factors come into play.
Overall, black is safe because it definitely is devilish

But Liz, being of rather fair skin tone, looks like she just walked off the set of the Uncle Milty show from the 50s if she's wearing black - the tone difference is that great!!!
And hey... I'm a freakin Taurus... we're supposed to be stoic and confident and down to earth, prepared to answer any question with a solid answer right away! LOL
Ok... blue... blue is just sexy as hell... and fits on any girl with any skin tone and any hair color

Oh, so true...on that "right" red for a redhead thing. WR had found a sweater in the perfect shade of red for her "strawberry blonde" coloring...wrong size.

We shopped and shopped in all these different stores with no luck...but then, shortly before Christmas, I found it in a store nearby. I was so proud and she was so happy! And it really was the "perfect" shade of red.

Yeah, yeah...a sweater...not lingerie...but I'd never thought much about red shades since all shades are my "best" color.

Now...a question. We women generally know what we look best in. For example, I look best in the deeper "jewel" tones, and look awful in pastels. The question is...knowing you look awful in a certain color, yet that particular color turns your spouse/SO on...will you wear it anyway? Knowing it really isn't your most complimentary color?

Any color is fine as long as it is BLACK! Black is the turn on for me.
Shoot, my wife with nothing on except black high heels gets me really going! Now, if she must wear lingerie then black is the color!
Now, EBF, what's the deep psychological meaning of my preference? Remember, I said once that you should hand out a shingle!
