Today we were out driving around scouting new locations to meet, in parts of the metro area we don't get to much. Of course that got our thoughts running in a certain direction; you know how it is.

Ya know, this subject is poorly represented on the internet. We've all seen photos of crudely made motorized dildos and of course heard stories about using some innocent product for sexual excitement (and there's nothing wrong with either approach). I think there's a void in the online woodworking plans for special purpose sex furniture. I've found examples of BDSM dungeon furnishings, but I keep looking for a well designed sex chair.

I have some plans for a sex swing but I haven't gotten around to making it yet. Not really sure where to get some of the parts and I'm not quite sure about the engineering criteria.

I did design and build an electrostimulator (much like a low powered TENS unit). It worked great and easy to build - I just lost interest in that because it consumes too much time with prep and clean-up. It's quick and easy to just whack off.

I have a digital TENS unit too, but didn't get it till after I made my own stim unit. A TENS unit has more variations in the signal possibilities and is stronger than necessary for just electro-masturbation. Do your own due diligence so you'll fell comfortable accepting the risks associated with this activity. The risks are very real, improper use can lead to deep skin burns, tissue damage and nerve damage. Proper use minimizes the probability of injury. Analog or crude audio stim units can lead to gradual damage over long term use.

I have the details in my design notes, but I'm typing this from memory. The frequency of the pulses is important - too high or too low can cause problems that can't be percieved by your senses until it's way too late. The electrodes are typically metalic to conduct electricity. If the duration of the pulse polarities are not balanced (average to zero), metalic ions can be deposited in the skin at the electrode site (typically precious skin). These warning are not intended to scare anyone away from this activity - just scare you into learning what you're doing. When done properly, it's safe and fun.
