I saw this on one of those channels on TV and did a web search for it. Orgasmatron Delivers Instant Orgasms at the Touch of a Button - Gadgets - Gizmodo This is really neat if they ever get it approved. |

Nope, it's all true. I remember reading about it some years ago in Scientific American. A woman was being fitted with electrodes in the spinal cord to control chronic, debilitating pain. The standard practice when fitting electrodes is to move them around and turn on the current to ask the patient what they feel. When the doctor was moving the electrodes around and asked the patient what she felt, she couldn't answer for a while... And the rest, is history. It's $12,000 because it's a surgical procedure. And yes, as far as I can remember, the procedure went into clinical trials to test it's effectiveness as treatment for sexual dysfunction. By the way, we're thinking about buying one of those electrical stimulation (TENS) kits that have a signal generator, patches, clamps, and vaginal and penile stimulators. Has anybody here ever used these? Recommendations, thoughts? |

I saw a special on either the Discovery Channel or TLC about three women who under went the surgical procedure. The one "disorder" that they had in common was the inability to orgasm. If memory serves me correctly the procedure wasn't very successful, in that only one woman was able to achieve orgasm, even the inventor, M.D. was a bit dismayed at the lack of success with the procedure. As for the TENS machines, I purchased one for my wife and it didn't work. The procedure is to take a sports drink an hour before intercourse and to attach the electrodes to the inside of the ankles. That did achieve the desired results, so she went to the secondary position of placing the electrodes near the bottom of the spine, the result was a sore back. |
