I am a firm believer in technological advancements. I seriously believe for the money, in say 10-15 years, one might be surprised...Even say 50 years. Yeah, there are some really weird things here, especially this part:

But what really makes my brain do flip flops in my skull is this: The guy wants to invite a very real person to come share his not so real and inert girfriend with him, bring a real person into what some would judge as a rather introverted and a-social scene!!!!

I have see those documentaries on TV about people that are into these dolls also, but this guy wanting to involve a semi-random real person in his trip seems totally counter intuitive. I mean jeez -think about it! (maybe not, thinking about it is making my head hurt.)

Only way this makes any sense to me, assuming this person is not a psycho, is if this is some "on the edge" fringe fetish combined with a strange 'role playing' adventure.

When does technology no longer seem creepy? It will stop being creepy when society begins to accept it. When we have the ability to create machines the mimic the human form and animate them in such a way as to please us, it will only be a matter of time before they become household items. First off, you have to remember (Here is where I remove ANY doubt of my being a geek) that in I Robot and all of the other books pertaining to robots, by Issack Asimov, The robots were all governed by the 3 laws of robotics which through specific redundantcy would not enable a Robot to harm a human. Your concern for the "Evil" robot is unwarranted.

What the movie, "I Robot" failed to mention was that a 4th law of Robotics was introduced into the “Positronic” brain of the robot. Zeroth's Law stated that the first three laws were to be followed UNLESS it was for the betterment of mankind.

I think the androids of A.I. were hotter than the ones in I Robot.

As for the Real Doll 3some, I just can't see me getting that into having sex with a doll. Add another guy to the picture and it would feel a lot like mutual masturbation.
