We are so lucky, our children are not ambulatory yet. Our machinery and accouterments still lives in the nightstand. Some even still wait on the bathroom counter to be washed for reuse

Same here, I just have to make sure that the ones on the bathroom counter get put away before the cleaning lady shows up

My father-in-law helped me to move the nightstand once and tried to open the top drawer in order to get a better grip. even just an inch or two would have revealed things about his daughter he really does not want to know! The funny part was as he was trying to open it and I was holding it shut, in the end it got moved without opening the drawer and no explanation was necessary.

We have ours in a bin in the top of the closet, now the kids (especially the boys) climb the shelves. On one occasion knocking the bin onto the floor, toys spread everywhere, son coming to tell us he made a mess. No quesions about what all the items were did ask if he could play with them though We did find this site for toy storage, a little pricey but there are some really great ideas. Really like the wand storage tote.

I have use and promote the following: Three bags: One is a large Laptop computer carrying case which holds two dissimilar colored nylon bags. One bag is for the cleaned and ready to use toys and the other bag is to hold the used and lube covered items for the return trip home. This keeps the clean and used seperated for obvious reasons.
Other compartments in the laptop carrier hold various types and viscosity of lubes, massage creams, moist towelettes, medical gloves, and alternative play items. Pockets for DVDs and digital camera and of course new batteries, etc.
Hey, I'm I going to play...lets get serious about having it organized, clean &charged up.
Now is the time to be a Boy Scout / Girl Scout...always prepared!
