How do you fix garter fasteners?

We're packing up our stuff. I have a few items of lingerie that I love, but those little plastic garter fasteners have cracked and won't hold up the matching hose. Is there a remedy or should I just chuck em?

I am not able to help but have the same issue..So hoping someone will post to your question and give us some tips..MrVan was helping me put mine on and it broke...Just hate when that happens.

If the garters are detachable, you can find replacement garter hooks at a local sewing shop. I found replacements at JoAnn fabrics, and the same can be ordered online.

As far as I can tell they're not detachable, sewn in and not the clippy kind. The plastic kind that has a rubber footy thing that goes in the middle. Yeah I know all these technical terms

I like lingerie best as a pile on the floor.

Look on the plus side, you are closer to this ideal location for it

If you really like the lingerie and don't want to throw it, you could buy the replacement garters (for the removable kind), cut the hook off the replacement garters and stitch the garter on. I'd at least look at the replacement garters and see if they could be stitched on - I am looking at my garters (the removable type) and I'm guessing that if the replacement ones look like the originals - it COULD be done.

But then again, I agree with Brett - sounds like a good idea to go shopping!!
