Questions for the ladies regarding footwear.

As newbie’s to the lifestyle, Jr and I will be attending our first on-site club in two weeks. I have a couple of questions about women's footwear I see advertised on websites for sexy lingerie, clothing, etc., as well as what I see women wearing in various pictures lifestyle related. It seems (and I may be very wrong in this) that the footwear of choice are heels 3" and above. I have not worn heels above 2" in many, many years. I recently purchased a pair that are 3 1/2" with a wider based heel and have been attempting to break them in by wearing them around the house on a daily basis for 10 minutes at a time; however, I am just unable to maintain my balance. Aside from the balance issue, at 5’9”, anything above 3” would have me staring down at the top of Jr’s head and I would prefer to be at least eye level with him and any potential male playmate. I know, they eventually come off anyway, but it is prior to the disrobing, when you are trying to make a good first impression, that I am questioning. Is it the norm to wear shoes that are 3”, 4” and up to clubs or is it common to wear lower heeled shoes? Will I look out of place if I were to wear casual footwear (they would be attractive)? I feel silly asking these questions but it has been on my mind front and center.

Second - wear what YOU feel comfortable in. There are plenty of sexy lower heeled and flat shoes, if you don't like high heels.

Believe me, you're not going to feel sexy or make a great impression if you're tottering about and worrying that you're going to trip.

Sorta like wearing that skirt that's way too uncomfortably tight - looks FABULOUS, though - and feeling miserable all night because of it. I'd rather be eager to take my shoes and clothes off for sex, rather than to finally take a comfortable breath or step.

I think, perhaps, you're letting yourself be intimidated by pictures you see, and perhaps even porn. Forget all of that noise! Be yourself and be comfortable!

I broke my ankle several years ago in a car accident and in the years since have sprained my "good" ankle a couple of times too. As a result, I don't wear heels over 2 or 2-1/2 inches either.

My favorite shoes to wear to a club or party are ballerina flats with multi-colored sequins that I got at Target, of all places! They're comfy and match everything. I also have a couple of pairs of strappy sandals with kitten heels (about 1-1/2" high) and silver trim... one hot pink and one neon green.

Find something fun that makes you feel sexy and don't worry about the stereotypical "stripper shoes"!

But I'll say that the addiction is to shoes...not necessarily high heels (though they do have a starring role).

If you are not comfortable, you will not have the best time you can. Fun or looks? Hmmm? Fun everytime!!! But thankfully you do not have to choose. There are many, many kinds of sexy shoes.

Girl, wear what is comfortable. I'll tell you the truth. Typically I start out in 3" shoes, only because usually the styles I prefer come that way. However, like last Saturday, if I'm dancing and they get in my way they come off! I danced 90% of the night in my bare feet lol. Go with whatever is comfortable. Yes, style is very important.....but how can you have fun if you are afraid of falling??? And, if being too tall makes you self conscious, what fun is that? Go with what is comfortable.

I too am addicted to shoes but because of the height issue, have steered away from anything over 2 1/2" inches for the past 20 years. I will defintely steer to the side of comfort and will happily prance around confidently and thankfully closer to the ground.

Wear what you are comfortable in. Yes some women can walk, dance and even fuck in those teeny, tall heels. I have no idea how they do it. I look at that sort of heel and my ankles wobble. At one point I used to stick to around 2" and even that now I find unless a really good shoe, my legs and feet are dying early into the evening. Hard to be sexy when your feet are screaming at you.

I have a great pair of boots that I wear at times, they have a big heel but the proportion of the boot is sooooo comfy. The other shoes I stick to now have about a 1/2 - 1 inch heel, much more comfortable and with a short skirt still damned sexy.

We watched the movie "Kinky Boots" on DVD the other night. A movie about shoes! Does it get any better than that?

Anyway... the first pair of boots they made were thigh high, but with a squarish, lowish heel. The transvestite character hated them - but when the cute little assistant girl was wearing them, I thought she looked totally hot, in a cute boi-way.

I have a pair of sparkly green flip-flops with a sequined butterfly over the toes, and those look very sexy, even though they are completely flat.

Wedge soles can help with that tottering effect, I think they add stability. And it depends on whether you're wearing hose, fishnets, or au naturel, too - with hose, my feet are more apt to slip around a bit in my shoes.

I stressed something awful about what I was going to wear to my first club night.
I was surpised to see everything from down right trashy to classy, to hey I just left the auto shop and I am ready to party. And that was just the ladies.
I like my mini skirts and tank type tops. with sandles or flats. No fear of falling or having to hang on to Dog for support all night.

I love shoes I do wear heals 3" and up most of the time so I am comfortable in them.

Another suggestion is to try platform pumps. The heel is 3" inches but with a 1" platform they are like wearing a 2" heel. You get the long leg look and the comfort too. Plus they are in style this year so easy to find.

I actually found an amazing pair of shoes recently. I have never been fabulous at walking in stillettos because I am too fast a mover to get my balance in them. These shoes have 5" stilletto heels, however, the heel has a wide platform that attaches them to the shoes before they taper down and the heel is right in the center of my foot's heel pad. Did that makes sense? So they're phenomenal. When you normally put your weight walking at a brisk pace, is supported because of where the heel is. And they're hot!

I think it's less about the heel and more about how your foot is supported. If the shoes are a comfy width and length with good support, you'll probaby be okay.
