To X or not to X?

The topic in the Cafe regarding pornographic DVD's got me curious as to how others view/rate XXX movies since they have begun swinging.

My husband who is a very "visual" sort still enjoys them. I on the other hand don't find them very fascinating anymore since the "real" thing is so much more appealing [fun]

. Rather than become aroused by viewing them, my only enjoyment now comes from rating the participants. "Fake boobs/real boobs", "bleach job", "definitely needs Viagra"...etc

Do you still enjoy watching XXX movies as much as you did before swinging? Am I an odd duck here or are we just not viewing the right movies? (We do have more than the crappy first video...LOL)

Here in Oklahoma, Lori, only soft-core videos are legal. Such films cannot show cum shots, penetration, etc. The end result is that our state borders have huge and quite successful adult video stores just on the other side. We do the same thing with tattooing, lotteries, etc., which means we export a lot of economic activity to other states. Go figure.

We used to have an illegal one that someone gave us but thought it was kinda hokey so we passed it on to some friends who were interested. Porn flicks just aren't a big part of our life.

My husband and I still like to watch XXX movies. They get us horny at times and we just have to get naked and have some fun. Sometimes we just watch them and laugh a little. But for the most part, we like to have fun while watching them. [kiss]

Do states really still do that? Although I have lived on every corner of the United States at some point in my life, admittedly I did not know that those sort of restrictions still existed. (Probably wasn't looking for them though.) I have noticed though on two of the routes that we travel regularly to see relatives, that there is an abundance of "porn" and "smoke" shop type billboards located within the first few miles of certain bordering states. Nary a one in the state preceeding it.

Having spent the majority of my years out west growing up, I was suprised at how backwards the midwest was when I moved here 28 years ago. Since ya'll are kinda in the middle here, I would have thought your area to be somewhat more ahead of ours. (Basing this on the fact that trends generally begin in California and then work their way to the east, whether it is fashion, politics or social acceptance.)

Soft core video is more alluring to me as it leaves it up to you to finish the scenario and more attractive to the mind (not to mention there is generally a plot).

Does your state allow porno theaters or bookstores? Or do you just pump oil and hunt rattlesnake in them parts? [Eek!]

Hey guys...before I got High speed cable internet, I had The Dish Network Satalite TV. They have a pay channel called Extacy which is a hardcore porn channel. Unlike others like Spice, Ten, Playboy etc. Extacy is totally uncensored. Cum shots, anal, the whole ball of wax. I think I was paying about $20 a month for this service. Since it's satalite TV and you can recieve it anywhere...you could get it in your state of OK.

They still do it. THere is actually a list somewhere of zip codes (cities and states) where hardcore porn is illigal. That list is what has kept me from ever offering hardcore videos for sale from my amateur site. All it would take would be one obnoxious AG in OK to order one of my videos to try to catch me and they could book me. No fun

In regards to the original question. I don't enjoy them much at all anymore. I'm with Lori, about all I do is rate the participants (and since I have been on both sides of the camera as well) point out what is obviously being faked and what positions there is no way in hell anyone would enjoy in real life, etc.

My hubby on the other hand still enjoys them and has quite a nice collection which he puts to good use all those times I go out of town without him...hehe

Right now, I'm with you, Julie and Lori. I think that's because I've kind of *gotten used* to them over a few years, seeing them at parties, swing clubs, and having about 200 of them in my own personal video library. You know it's like you have a craving for something, then you eat that something a few days in a row and all of a sudden it's lost it's appeal because you've overindulged in it.

I haven't seen a porn movie in a few months by my choice. I'm taking a break for six months and then going to try to watch one and see if it can be a little stimulating and I can do more than provide color commentary.

We still watch porn, most every weekend, but now when watching and wishing we were involved in a certain scenario, we will watch them and say, Oh, we've done that, or look, we haven't tried that yet, lol...we still get a kick out of watching them.
