Like some input on do's n don'ts on useing them..
What kind do you prefer?

We have not used them but we have a friend that runs a BDSM store locally here and pop in and ask him questions all the time. It just so happens that about two weeks ago cock rings came up while we were there. He suggests using the flexible one at least at first since you won't really be sure what size you need and yes the metal ones can hurt especially, as he said, if you end up having to have it cut off at the hospital.

So unless you really know what you are doing start with the flexible ones first. Good luck

I've used them a couple of times -- both condomed and condomless -- to see what they're all about. Obviously, a ring traps blood in the penis/scrotum and a ring did make me consistently hard, but I found that it desensitized my erection in some cases. Nice when I was trying to last a long time, but not always the best thing for enjoying the sensations of penetration.

If you want to experiment, go with the flexible (rubber?) ones first. I bought a pack of 3 white ones, which were okay, and some black ones, which were not as forgiving. I've seen the stainless steel rings, but they scare me. There are also leather straps with snaps that you might want to try if you find that after experimenting with the rubber ones you want to continue looking into this.

You can probably get a three-pack of "normal" sized white rubber ones for a few dollars at your local porn shop. Unless you have a superpornstar-sized freakish unit, one of the three rings should give enough constriction to do the job. Don't leave it on for too long. I can't remember the recommendation, but I think it's for not more than a 1/2 hour. (It may say on the items' packaging, but I'll see if I can find some other info.) The lack of fresh blood to your dong and balls after that could cause some problems. Just like that Viagra warning of contacting yer doctor if you have an erection for more than 4 hours. If the cells in the genitals don't get enough oxygen you can permanently damage them.

If you do wear one, after cumming it might take a minute or three for you to comfortably remove it. Your genitals will be a little swollen for awhile until a little blood starts circulating again. So you have to be a little patient. That's another factor in favor of the flexible rings.

Another thing, if you wear a cockring, the less hair in that area, the better. Believe me on this. There is much less aggravation and pain removing a ring from a shaved or cropped area than from a fully hairy crotch. No or little hair means you can more easily get your fingers under the ring to remove it, and no long hairs will somehow wrap themselves around the ring to cause sudden band-aid-removal-sort-of-only-much-worse-type-pain.

If you put one on and experience any pain, get the thing off right away.

Finally, I must admit, I have a ring that I bought a few months ago and haven't used yet. It's an extremely flexible ring that actually acts more like a holder for a tiny on-off switch battery-operated vibrator. The idea is to wear the ring with the vibrator at the top...(as they say) for her pleasure. I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. Dammit.

See there are 2 types of rings, 1 for the cock only and 1 to go around the cock n balls.
I've used rings around the balls, but more to keep them from disapearing...din't really find it helping to stay hard...anyone else?

The name of the shop is "The Chamber" it is on High Street in Columbus (Short North area). It caters to BDSM and the homosexual community so there are some pretty interesting items in the shop.
