Default Straps Ons (What works and what doesn't?)

So ya my girl and I are thinking about getting her a strap on so she can have another form of fun with our playmate friend. Question is what type should we get? 3-strap, 4-strap, or double-sided? So many and each kinda pricey. Anyone got any info on this subject?

The Nexus and Feeldoe doubles are pretty widely regarded as the best strap ons these days and provide pleasure to both partners. The feeldoe is marketed as not even needing a harness, but many have said that if you're really going for it a harness is definitely handy.

Most places that carry them also offer recommendations for harnesses that are well suited for this style of toy.

We play with a Doc Johnson and it works great for us(the mrs and her lesbian lover).

Feeldoe and Nexus don't work for us (MF). Too floppy. Also, some folks have experienced anal juices from the male running down them and into the nether regions of the female. Basically, they were designed for FF play.

We have a 4 strap and are quite happy with it. She's able to thrust as hard as she wants and that I can take.

Before you use the strapon try using some anal plugs and/or your wife's fingers. Start with something small and work up. Use a lot of lube. We particularly like lubes like Elbow Grease.

Which ones do you use and what do you like about them?

Really we have too many different toys. From basic plugs to Rabbits. Double dongs to Butt Bombs. Buzzy bullets to the Hitachi Magic wand.

Squarepeg has an interesting variety and are quite durable and well-made.

Variety is the spice. These all do something different.

So you think my post wasn't on-topic or specific enough for you. Is that right?
Seems to me you haven't posted anything at all in the thread except a complaint about my post. Certainly not very specific to the thread topic.

Sounds like somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed.

1) I was the first to respond to this thread and offered specific recommendations. (which you actually replied to silly)

2) See that smiley in my second post? People usually smile when they're being good natured.

<---- That's not the posting-police-have-come-to-piss-in-your-cereal face. It's a smile.

Your original post was informative and useful to anyone wanting a strap on for anal play, but you never stated which one you used. Miles specifically asked for more info and it appeared from your reply as if you had misunderstood.

I wasn't complaining. I was just trying to help out.

So how bout it? Want to share some details so those with similar interests can benefit from your experience?

The main thing is that strap ons need to fit right so the dong doesn't just flop around uncontrollably. You'll want to be able to put it where you want it without having to hold on to it with your hand. You'll also want to be able to do the hip thrust thing and have the dong move in and out in your partner just like it would if it were a real cock, and you won't be able to do that if it's not snug against your mound.

A strap on comprised of a separate harness which you can adjust to fit tightly (for control of the dong's movement) but comfortably (pain from straps digging in or pinching somewhere won't help the mood) and a separate dong which you can insert into the harness and change as fits the occasion (sometimes you may want a great big thick dong for girl-on-girl vaginal play, or sometimes you may want a tiny little butt plug for anal deflowering play) are the best in my mind.

Leather harnesses are easily made smaller for us smaller girls by punching extra holes in the straps. Nylon ones are not as easy to add holes to as they usually need some way of sealing around the edges of the holes so they don't fray.

Also, leather, in my mind, is sexier than any other material (except maybe a full latex pantie-type harness which I've never seen, but I think would be great).

I don't know about brand names. I got mine at a local female-centric sex shop called Venus Envy. They have a website. Its harness info is at http://www.venusenvy.ca/catalogue/harnesses.asp. Click on "show me the harnesses" to see what they have.

I have a harness which is very similar to what the on-line site calls the Aslan Jock but instead of having a hole thru the triangular front piece for inserting the dong, mine has a replaceable "O" ring (important when using different sized dongs) in front of a solid triangular piece for holding the dong, similar to the Venus Brocade Jock.

It's a jock-strap style which I like cuz it gives you more control over the position of the dong and doesn't ride up your crack like a thong style. Also, it leaves all your openings available for play while the strap on is in use .

Have fun choosing!!

Sorry about the several mistakes I made. I felt like you were "demanding" an answer. I was mistaken.

But, unfortunately, I really can't be more specific. We use several different ones from several different manufacturers. And I don't, in general, keep track of the names. We do have our personal names but they're no help to anyone. Nexus and Feeldoe are sufficiently unusual to remember.

The others are pretty standard cock-shaped strap-ons. Those from Squarepeg are the best quality but we've gotten them from many different places including Good Vibrations. Size depends on how experienced the receiver is and desire.

There really are too many variables of comfort (physical and mental) and experience to list.
Big, small, long, short, fat, skinny, prostate ruber (is that a word?) or just in-out, natural or stylized, etc.

The sensations are highly variable for me.
My advice.... Don't be afraid to fail. Buy what attracts your eye. Try it out. If it's not to your liking, buy a different one. If it's your "thing" you'll definitely find at least one that works on any given day.

And Dito to OttawaCuple.

Thank you for the responses.

I like being on the receivieng end of anal play, and I've been thinking about getting a strapon or something very much like a strap on. I'm not really sure which way to go.

I thought the Feeldoe sounded kind of interesting because it would still be some actual physical stimulation for her, but it sounds like that might not be the way to go.

I have a Feeldoe (which I call "The Easter Bunny" since it's purple and I bought it on the Easter weekend a few years ago).

It's a wonderful toy for two people to share and CAN be used in combination with a harness or on its own. It doesn't stay in place on its own very well though, so using it on its own usually involves holding it in place (which is not a BAD thing).

It's also great for masturbating cuz you can insert either end and you have the other end available to manipulate the inserted end.

I personally like putting the short, bulbous end in me and working it inside me by pulling on the penis-shaped end. Using it that way has the extra benefit of stimulating my clit with the ribbed base of the penis-shaped end as well as enjoying feeling like I have a cock in my hand .... kind of like giving myself a hand job
