Trouble is we can't find a lube that stays oiley, not sticky, and in a large quantity. Help....Thanks |

| Mod Squad Member | The silicone based lubes are the only ones I have found that don't get sticky, Platinum Wet or Pjur Woman. The problem is the quantity vs. the cost. Perhaps plain old baby oil would be best for this situation.

At your meet-up this year, you could get one of those slides and large quantities of olive oil, and... imagine the possibilities. slip and slide was it? |

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... an old boyfriend of mine and I dumped a (huge) bottle of baby oil on a waterbed mattress and had ourselves one hell of a time! I smelled of baby oil for days and had a difficult time degreasing my hair. Make sure you do it on a Friday if you have long, thick hair like mine. It'll take awhile to get all the oil out before work on Monday. ![]()

| Here to Stay | We've had good luck with the baby oil and we use a lot. We have special plastic type fitted sheets we lay over the mattress with old sheets on top of that. I had not thought about the olive oil appraoch...we'll have to give it a try. One of our favorite things is to get Joy up in our swing, on a old comfortable sheet, pull out the toys and oil and go to work. I get her all relaxed using a feather prior to jumping in with the toys and oil. The last time we did this Joy ended up begging me to stop so she could catch her breath. I love it!!. The other thing we both have found to be very pleasing is setting up our bed for oil play after both of us have been waxed. It feels so gooood rubbing freshly waxed and oiled yummy parts together .

The olive oil is slippery, but thicker than a regular lube or baby oil, does not get sticky, has an ok taste, a nice smell and by morning has absorbed itself into the skin and not feel icky. |

| Celebrate perversity | After a conversation I had with a friend last week, I decided to revive this thread from last winter. She and I discussed getting together for an evening of slippery, sensuous massage some time in the near future. Our plan is to start with the massage, and then see if anything else comes up... Anyway, from this thread and from another one (Best lube for wrestling?) we decided that we would DEFINITELY avoid baby oil because of the longterm smell and the taste. Olive oil seems to be the best candidate so far because it is slippery, not too expensive since we wouldn't go for the gourmet versions and we might use a lot, and if not tasty, would not be offensive to either of us with regard to taste or smell. Still, we wondered if there are any alternative official or "unofficial" massage oils we might consider. We're looking for something that is 1) slippery and stays that way for a reasonable time, 2) tastes okay (we won't be drinking it but we might be ingesting some inadvertently ), and 3) won't break the bank if periodically used in some quantity.A lot of the lubes and massage products from adult stores and sites are fairly expensive and for external use only anyway. I checked out massage oils available at some local major drug chains, GNC, and Bath & Body Works, but all of those are for external use only also. Massage oils of various types are promoted on dozens if not hundreds of websites, but all the information we need is not necessarily available. So, unless we can find an alternative, we'll go with the olive oil. However, if anyone has some suggestions for alternatives using our limitations, I'm all ears. By the way, in answer to anotherway2liv's question about using latex condoms and olive oil, from our research it looks to be a no-no. In fact, in another thread on similar issues LOL_OMG posted the following (which pretty much agrees with what we found): "Oil-based lubricants like petroleum jelly, body lotion, baby oil, cooking oil and mineral oil cause rapid deterioration of latex condoms and greatly increase the risk of breakage. Mineral oil, a common ingredient of hand lotions and other lubricants, can cause a 90 percent decline in condom strength in as little as 60 seconds. Oil-based lubricants are safe only with polyurethane condoms. In addition, do not use oil-based vaginal medications or lubricants when you are using a diaphragm or cap. Lubricants containing oil will also break down sex toys containing latex." So, gentleman and scholar that I am, I have some polyurethane condoms at the ready for a possible experiment with olive oil (and possibly with other oil-based massage products). If you can give us some other massage product ideas, we'd like to know. And if yinz'all are nice, I might report back in a names-changed-to-protect-the-slippery report. That is, if everything works out. :rollseyes Thrax

Even with plastic sheeting how do you prevent other damage? Like...some dripping onto the carpet. Or the now oil-slicked shower floor. I'm imagining that you'd have to REALLY use some stuff you don't mind getting ruined. Is the fact that you're wiping oily handprints off everything the next day worth it? This topic recently came up between myself and the f of another couple...somehow we decided a baby pool, some oil (or maybe some other substance, like chocolate pudding), some of those light-weight very see-through when wet undies, and a hose were in order. The only problem is it's freaking COLD here...and our plan of just heading outside to be hosed off would suck right now. |

I'm a neat freak, so I'd be taking it to the floor (with old sheets/blankets/whatever). Keeping towels, handiwipes and clean footwear by the area would help one to wipe off their body, hands, and have traction to get to the bathroom to clean up. So would yelling "don't touch the walls!" . I wouldn't know how to keep from killing myself or anyone else in a shower - maybe take cleanup to the bathtub, instead? I can't imagine if it's being used in massage that it could get too seriously messy, unlike oil wrestling or something. That would definitely have to be a summer-time only event here in Ohio. Especially today! If it ended up being really hot sex, I could deal with a bit of cleanup. ![]()

| Celebrate perversity | Well now...NOW...I really concentrated on reading the OP and realize that they're talkin' about oceans of lubricant and basically slip-slidin' away. Ummm...that's not us...at this point, anyway. For one thing, this won't be a gallon of massage oil (olive oil or whatever type that we settle on...or in) that we use. We're NOT intending to soak in the stuff, just enough to make things pleasantly, personally slippery, not make a Keystone Kops version of a greased up wrestling porn film. (Although personally I might want to view that...) Consequently, we are thinking of using an old blanket and a top sheet, with maybe a plastic sheet (maybe a shower curtain liner) underneath. Whatever happens, we should be mildly slippery with a "sheen" of oil, not covered with stuff to the point that we'll be sliding about the floor. There will also be some hand-towels around in case one of us has to leave the official massage area for some reason, or if someone wants to grab a camera for some pics. The oil of whatever kind in a baby pool -- or similar -- is NOT for this possible meeting. Maybe another time! Sorry to mislead you! Thrax P.S. I'm an ISTJ, I'm not THAT wild...maybe. ![]()

| Sarah&Roger's Female Half | Thrax, Depending on the area of the country and time of the year, you might be able to get flax oil or peanut oil cheaper than olive oil. Peanut oil is almost always on sale before Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter (the big Turkey Day holidays - since peanut oil is used in the deep fryers). Flax oil is available in larger quantity in some areas in the organic groceries or health food stores. Flax oil would taste fine, and is as slip-slide safe as olive oil. The good news, if you use olive or flax oil, is that you'd increase your intake of Omega 3, 6, and 9 without having to try too hard!! Good luck, and HAVE FUN!! Sarah
