It seems that they tend to weep something, can't tell what, and it burns! We use warm soapy water, keep them dry and clean, but, still, ouch! [ 03-07-2002: Message edited by: M&B ]

Seems that because they are porous they hold germs or something that end up causing me to get an infection ![]() |

Water and soap are OK but since they are so porous, some bacteria and other things may still remain even from the soap itself. Alcohol really gets in there and kills that stuff, then dry them off well. We store our toys in a dry, metal (old popcorn ) container, and all our jelly toys have lasted quite some time without your described problem. |

One put a straight, jelly dildo in my mouth so she could ride my face. This was okay until my best man started talking to her and handed her a joint. Well she sat down on my face and with the dildo in my mouth and her anus smothering my nose, I could not breathe. She just forgot I was there. In an effort to breathe I bit through the dildo and started gasping for air. When I spit out the thing two teeth came out with it that had been knocked out in a football game in my youth. Stripper's dildo show: $200 Dental work: $700 So rashes and germs aren't the only bad thing about those jelly dongs!

Maybe someone in the industry should be notified, but i guess in a disposable society they are making a fortune on woman but other things 6 months after spending a fortune on an inferiour product.

Particularly porous toys, the alcohol stays in the pores and will cause skin (and vaginal) irritations. Use a cleaner made specifically for sex toys, such as "Before&After". | Doing it our way... | I see this is a very old thread, but as a gal who only had two toys to her name, I tossed the jelly toy three weeks ago because it burned my parts so bad and I couldn't figure out why. Now I'm down to one. Glad to know it's not just me (and glad I never used the alcohol to clean it!).

A lot of toys are manufactured in the far east and lets be nice and say they don't use the best quality stuff in them. Exudation is primarily caused by cheap plasticizers. If they aren't "powered" the dishwasher is a good place to clean them. |

I've never had any trouble with mine at all. The only kind I buy are waterproof jelly toys, the kind you can use in the pool or tub. Maybe the waterproof jellies are less porous? I don't know, but I've never had any trouble at all. I wash mine after each use with antibacterial soap and water, then air dry. |
