I always require lube and have been using Eros Original Bodyglide by pjur for some time. It's not waterbased and because of this it stays slippery forever. It has no fragrance and is virtually tasteless. It takes very little and lasts a long time. Worth the money. I like it better than anything else I've tried, which includes original K-Y, K-Y Silk-E and K-Y Warming Liquid. Also Target's lubricating liquid. The drawback to these water-based brands is they get sticky on me too quickly and then fail to keep the action slippery. I hate that. I also don't care for the taste of these products. I have to order online to get Eros and just recently discovered they market pjur Woman Bodyglide, which I think is identical to Eros Original except that it's in a white container instead of a black one. It costs less so I ordered it. I also ordered pjur Aqua, which is waterbased. I want to see if I'll like it. Warning: If you get the Eros Bodyglide on a hardsurface floor, watch your step. Your feet will be out from under you in a flash! LM

| Swingers Board Addict | This is an older thread, but we have been doing a little research and found some info which was kind of surprising to me. Let me preface this by saying we like to use petroleum jelly as a lube, it doesn't get sticky like water based and has a nice little friction quality. Before that we used olive oil but it has a tendancy to get all over the sheets. However, both are oil based and I found this: "Oil-based lubricants like petroleum jelly, body lotion, baby oil, cooking oil and mineral oil cause rapid deterioration of latex condoms and greatly increase the risk of breakage. Mineral oil, a common ingredient of hand lotions and other lubricants, can cause a 90 percent decline in condom strength in as little as 60 seconds. Oil-based lubricants are safe only with polyurethane condoms." Next question is - has anyone tried polyurethane condoms? Is there a noticeable difference between that and latex?

We tried the polyurethane condoms. I have a latex sensitivity with prolong exposure so we thought that the polyurethane would be a better choice. We found that the polyurethane condoms just did not have the "give" that latex condoms had, and they tend to be a little on the smaller side. Bear could hardly get the polyurethane condom on so we could try it out. And the feel of them reminded me of a plastic sandwich bag. Thanks for reminding everyone that oil-based lubes do not mix with latex. You also have to be careful with latex toys and oil lubes. For us, we rather use a water-based lube so we don't have to worry about any problems.

I've just applied for our free sample! We use ID Glide, but not sure if you can get it outside of the UK?? It's the best we've found so far, as it's water based, water soluble & compatible with latex, rubber & plastic, etc. Best of all, you can have in unscented, unflavoured, or it comes in a range of fruity flavours! ![]()

| Loving life (style) | We've tried everything on the market up til now. All the water based products seem to get sticky and counter productive after a while (maybe I last too long....lol). Then we got turned on to Albolene. It's a moisurizing cleanser for removing makeup. A friend's gyno recommended it for a lube. We love it. It's inexpensive compared to the lubes made for loving and IT REALLY WORKS. And it lasts! Available in any drug store. Albolene.
