Viagra yes or no ??

No jokes now, I recently swapped something for a quantity of viagra, around 50 x 100 mg genuine Pfizer ones, these are the big ones which i think you can split in half - but i am unsure if i should take one, side effects and all that....any advice?

PS . Are they also addictive, with so many i could get hooked!

Hmmm... Something for V?? sounds iffy... anyway, they have limited long term effects and only have short term effects if you have certain diseases or take the wrong type of drugs in combination with it.

As an aside, how do you know it's the real thing??? There are many fake V dealers out there to make a quick buck. u only need 25 mg to enjoy the effect of V. If you want it to last a little longer take a larger dose, but it has side effects like dizziness etc etc...

You really should see a doctor before trying them.

I take V only when I am involved in a lengthy encounter since I find it makes me last a lot longer. It really is good stuff. However, you better get checked out by a doctor before you pop them. I have a script for them, and you should too. Buying them from a street corner is risky and you don't know how you can react to the pill. Strokes, heart attacks, priapism, etc. Not worth it without a thorough physical and a doctor's OK. If he clears you, then go for it. I love the stuff, and it works awesome. I am 38, and I can go for a long time before the big O, and I am ready to go again in about 2 mins on V...and the orgasm is just as intense the 2nd go around.

Just keep in mind that Viagra started out as a cardiac (heart) drug. The researchers just noticed that their test subjects we able to have incredible "side effects"! So, seeing your doctor first to make sure your bllood pressure and heart are 100% healthy is a good idea.

The advise on staying await from Viagra if you havc a nitrate on board is logical. As a health care provider, it is my belief that this is a wonderful drug that should be available to everyone. Once again the gov lies about how dangerous it is. It should not be prescription only. I believe most pharmacist can guide u on using it. Same with the longer acting and more selective drugs. Remember they keep telling us how dangerous marijuana is. The religious right believe that oneone who takes a drug for "fun" is sinning. That attitude has resulted in a large population of our kids living in prisons. Viagra, Cialis and --- (I cann't recall the other right now) are wonderfull "recreational" drugs. There are suttle differences u should discuss with the pharmacist. Priaprism is very rare and very uncomfortable - might stay away from trazadone (used for sleep/depression) while taking this.

In regards to Leonard's comment that Viagra should be non-presciption.
Pfizer, Lily would love it as their already 1 billion dollar per annum products would probably increase tenfold.

However the way that the FDA works is there has to be a screening process. During the drug development stage, the human trials are minimum of one year and could last up to three years while they search for side effects.

Once the product hits the market, the manufacturer is responsible to track reports of side effects, from simple dizziness all the way to death's.

Over a longer period of time, if the manufacturer can prove that the side effects are minimal and non-threatening, then the drug can be re-classified for off the shelf or over the counter sales.

Couple of cases for consideration:

One of Merck's drugs (arthrititis) got pulled about two weeks ago as they found out that the long term usage caused heart attacks.

However Upjohn's (Now Pfizer) Rogaine started out as a anti-depressant, found out one of the side effects was hair growth. Entered the market as prescription and evolved to off the shelf sales after about five years.

Viagra does have some serious concerns when taking along with other drugs, usually for heart disease amongst other things.

1. Drugs should only be purchased from a reputable source.
2. Always consult with your doctor whether you are at risk.
