  1. Getting caught up in the moment can be a bitch at times (Ted and I have both been there, done that). It's how we handle it that determines whether the experience will remain a bad memory or turned into a learning experience where we can say, "that sucked, let's not do that again", forgive ourselves and move on. You and your wife stated your rules. The other man didn't follow them, shame on him. The one thing I saw that you and your wife could have done differently is instead of her saying, I'm not ready for that and not yet, would have been to say, "No, we said we were soft swap only" and you backing her up. By saying I'm not ready and not yet, I can see where the other man could have gotten the wrong message and thought it was okay to proceed, and your comment of soft swap being out the door and your wife letting him fuck her a second time probably reaffirmed that in his mind. Hindsight is 20/20 so don't beat yourselves up over this. I think you two handle it rather well. You didn't cause a scene, you both acknowledged what happened, you talked about it and I don't detect any blame being assigned to either of you...good job! From what I'm gathering out of your post, the only two things that really happened were you had a full swap without really knowing the man...not nearly as big a deal as if you had never swapped before and this happened, and no protection was used...yeah, I'd be pissed about that one too, but here again it's our responsibility to see this happens as well as the other person's. I also feel you are a bit upset at yourself because you couldn't maintain an erection and have your fun with the other ladies, especially since your wife fucked the other man. I still feel you two did just fine and are going to be just fine. As to is this common at hotel parties...yes and no. You will always find those that will try and push the limits of others no matter what venue you are at. With experience you learn how to deal with the pushy ones, forget them and move on to those who are more respectful and fun. Teresa
  2. What is creepy to some, isn't necessarily creepy to others. Another way of looking at this is...it's possible that the couple were turned on by the guy masturbating while watching them. Now I'm not saying that is/was the case, but a lot of times our perception of what we see isn't exactly what is going on. I do understand your creepy feeling, I've met/seen guys that gave me the creeps, but that doesn't mean they weren't someone elses dreamboat. Teresa
  3. Sometimes new experiences don't go exactly like we want them to...wouldn't it be great if they did? I quoted and bolded some parts of your post that jumped out at me. I know you're feeling hurt right now, but I think you need to ask yourself are you hurt by what he did, upset at yourself for what you didn't do, or just disappointed the evening didn't go like you would have liked it to have gone. Always a stressful event. You spend days planning and preparing and hoping that everything will go great. Stressful. I detect a bit of disappointment in the above quote. To me it seems as if you're not as upset about what he actually did, but that you felt abandoned (as you said further down in your post) while he was off having fun and you were doing a job alone that you felt both of you should be doing. Kind of like, "Hello dear, we're suppose to be giving this party. How about a little help with making sure everyone is having fun and we're not neglecting any of our guest". Which I think you feel he did by the below statement. Yep, your definitely mad at him and I think possibly mad at yourself. It seems as if you're thinking..."If you knew I wouldn't be thrilled with all the alone time you were getting, then why did you do it"? And, you're probably also beating yourself up thinking..."I knew what was going on, I could see it, yet I let it go on without speaking up". We all make stupid mistakes at times. For us, when these little mishaps occur we try not to focus on them, instead we turn our attention to what went right with the evening concentrating on those things that we can talk about with enjoyment. By doing so, the mishaps fade in memory and we realize that they really weren't as big of a deal as we thought at the time. I have no doubt you two will work this out and will be able to chalk it up to a learning experience. Teresa

    Gut Wrenching

Glad to hear the surgery(ies) went well and that healing (in more ways than one) can now begin. T.

    Happy Birthday

  6. Bringing vanilla friends into a swinging relationship is very tricky and even though it's something we have done successfully a couple of times it is NOT something that we recommend. The first thing you need to be prepared for is losing the friendship. Regardless of how well you think you know the other person there will always be the chance that revealing the fact you have sex with people who are not your spouse might not go over well. In the situation you described, my personal opinion is it's not a good idea. Your friend is in a relationship. Asking him to cheat on his SO is so uncool. How would you feel if someone asked you to cheat on your wife? By doing so you display a lack of respect for him and her. Regardless of how you feel about her, at this point in time she is his girlfriend and their relationship deserves your respect even if you don't understand why he's in a relationship with her. There are numerous available single men in swinging. There really is no need for you to try and bring a vanilla friend into it, especially this one. Teresa
  7. I had never had a yeast infection in my life until we started playing. Talk about being freaked out the first time I got one A lot of women report getting yeast infections right before their period and alcohol consumption also contributes to them. Different partners can also cause them. One thing to remember is that most men don't think they can get them, but they can. When treating a yeast infection both partners should be treated or you're just going to pass it back and forth. The Monistat cream (or any of the OTC yeast meds) applied to the penis works well and should be used the full time an infection is being treated on the woman. I also started taking AZO yeast (OTC) a few days before we're planning on playing, if I know I'm going to be drinking a lot and/or spending a lot of time in a pool. Of course, eating the old stand-by of yogurt never hurts. I haven't had one in well over two years. Teresa

    Update

Thanks for the update Vol...it's good to hear from you. T.
  9. That would be the Merry Gentry Fairy series. The sex is good in those as well, but Merry doesn't seem to have as much group sex as Anita does, even though Merry has a better attitude about sex. It is very hard to find a book that has a decent story line and also good group sex in it. Teresa
  10. Laurell K. Hamilton's "Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series"...great books and the later books have a lot of group sex in them...mostly the main character with lots of men...some of the best written sex scenes I've ever read. Of course, anything by Heinlein is wonderful. Teresa

    Mr's take on Event 1

Unfortunately things like you two experienced will happen in swinging. Remember, communication is not just between the couple but all involved. You both handled it excellently! And you're right, chalking it up to a learning experience is the best way to go...I'd bet money no one will ever be able to pull this crap on you two again Glad you two had a good time. T.
  12. Sweet, I understand where you're coming from. The Holidays suck for fun playtime . I've been searching for a New Years Eve party myself for us to attend...nothing. I haven't given up yet and I will find something for us to do. Good luck with your search. T.
  13. Things that make you go...Hmmmmmm.... Teresa
  14. I didn't answer in the poll. I suppose I could have answered it's a sign of commitment, but it's just something I've never thought about. In almost 29 years of marriage, I've never taken my wedding band off...I've taken the diamond off if I'm doing something that might damage it or get it dirty, but never the band...I'm not sure it would even come off or why I would want to take it off. I like my rings, they've been on my finger for so long they've become a part of me, and they're something Ted gave me. Although it's not something I get, Ted has told me at times it is a turn-on for him when he notices my rings flashing while my hand is wrapped around another man's cock. Teresa

    Starting over...

Thanks guys We actually received an invite to a house party last night. Unfortunately, we were stuck (or Ted was stuck and I was stuck with him) at work last night and didn't get to attend. As I said, we're in no hurry...which is basically the way we've always been...taking things as they happen and just enjoying the ride. T.
