Interesting stuff. The subject of religion always leads me to "Just because I don't believe what you believe, doesn't mean I don't believe."

WOW, alot to cover, first let me say that I am happy this did not devolve into an "I'm right, your wrong" debate, I hate that about talking about religion.

They do, in my opinion, step off the path of rational here and there - and trapse along through the thickets of "justification".

Spoo that is a great quote, so many times I see people in that mode to make moral desions it makes my skin crawl. I think you have hit the nail on the head with the major problems of debateing theology.

He basically stated: The bible is meant as a guide to life. It is not really intended to be taken literally. By applying the lessons it presents, you can lead the life that "God" wishes you too.

My dad (who was a minister) told me the exact same thing. in my opinion that is one of the most important statements relating to the Bible that many people never hear.

I think the site could help alot of people who are haveing troubles in that balance of religon and swinging. On factor of being religious is deep down you feel guilt for natural (sexual) feelings. I don't think that is always intentional, in fact I have never heard a sermon on sexual abstance in my life. But the feeling is still there. What bothers me is the Absolute tone these thoughts are presented in. Almost that we have agree. To me, in a moral sence, as long as everyone is ok and no one is forced or hurt, there is no harm done and everyone should be happy. As far as religion playing into that, I feel that is for me to deside. I don't want to get into a debate, so if you want to ask me, feel free to do it by PM or in chat if you see me. The point being is that faith is a fluid thing and non of us will ever have all the answers, or if we do, we couldn't tell the rest of the people anyway (cause we would most likely be dead).
