Any Jehovah Witness Swingers?

Recommended Posts

My wife and I did enjoy two swinging encounters in our ten year marriage, but recently she has joined a JW faith, and she has pretty much just stopped discussion in that area. I was just curious if any members here are followers of the Jehovah Witness faith, yet still enjoy a mild swinging lifestyle.

My family have been JW's for 6 generations and I can say with educated authority that swinging would NOT be considered an acceptable lifestyle choice within the faith. In fact, up until very recently, they did not accept oral sex between married partners, and anal is still considered an offense worthy of excommunication, even if it is with your spouse. But then again, what they don't know...

Holy shit! You got to be be kidding! My experience with JW would suggest an almost violent reaction to such a suggestion. Not trying to be disrespectful just that my past experiences greatly colors my view point in this regard. I was escorted off the premises by gunpoint for dating a daughter of a JW  !! She told me she was a JW but being a niave 20 something I did not fully understand what that meant. I went to pick her up for a second date and was met by her father on the front porch with a shotgun/rifle (not sure which) the fact that it was a firearm freaked me out enough! Good luck but I believe your swinging days with this person are at an end.

As for JW I think any faith that says you have to risk your life by NOT getting a blood transfusion so that you remain pure is not likely to think too much of swinging. How ever if you don't mind me saying I think swinging is going to be the least of your worrys. JW have taboos for lots of vanilla things too. I bet she will try to get you to join every day . Im sorry to say I think I see a rough road for you and your marrage. let us know how it goes.

Most religions wouldn't really think too highly of swinging, I would think.

But if she's not even talking about it now...well things dont look so good.

Let us know how it goes.

The only Jehovahs Witness I've known well was a lady I met in Europe who had been raised in the faith. Her mother had kicked her out of the house at age 15 because she had had sex with her boss. The mother did not press charges against the scumbag because she didn't want people to know. Frankly, I have little regard for people of the faith.

They're fun on the front porch, though. Even a rudimentary knowledge of the Bible is enough to shoot holes in their theories. Of course, they'll never admit it. They seldom come back, though.

Oklahoma passed a law several years ago requiring parents to seek medical treatment for a very sick child in response to a family who withheld it from their child who died of appendicitis.

If my wife suddenly embraced the JH faith, I'm afraid our marriage would be over and I love her more than life itself. I would not be willing to accept the threat to my sons' lives. I can't imagine that ever happening, though, thank the Great Spirit!

Sad to say this, but I agree.

Great responses everyone! Actually, I pretty much knew the answer to that one before I asked it. Since her 'conversion', I've done considerable research on the JW faith. I have found that there are some active JW's that have and do secretly have 'affairs' (discovered through a couple of JW online forums), but most definitely would not be condoned by the 'church'.

My wife and I married 10 years ago, with no strong religious ties, although I guess would be considered Christian. We were extremely loving and open about our feelings on 'swinging'. So about 6 1/2 years into our marriage, making a long story short, we invited another male friend of ours to join us, on two separate occasions. Both times were fantastic, and she led me to believe that she loved the lifestyle. The job I had at the time kept me out of town every other week, and after returning home one week (about 6 months after our last encounter with our friend) I find that she had answered the door to some JW's and began her 'journey'. That has most definitely caused major friction in our marriage, and I would have already left had it now be for our 9 year old son. I am aware of the JW's medical hang-ups, especially concerning transfusions, I love my son dearly, and I don't believe my leaving him in the custody of her is the wisest thing to do. But that's another thread, and most definitely, a different forum.

I miss the times we had and where it could have matured to. Just when you think you've truly found the perfect mate, in ALL areas, I have it taken away by religion. Honestly, I could really understand how religion could conform people to give up 'some' of the things they are doing. But damn, why did it have to be such a Fanatical religion? These guys are nuts! To get the ball rolling they take such a dramatic turn as to take away my son's Christmas's and Birthdays, as well as, most of his holidays.

Oh well..I could go on and on.

Thanks for your responses ya'll.

I like to say, "I don't know... Good question... Why don't you come in - we'll take a bath and talk about it."

That usually gets a blank response...

So, I say, "don't worry if you didn't bring one, I have enough rubber ducks for everyone... And you know what I mean by 'rubber duck' don't you?"

They are usually off the porch before I get the sly wink out...

Interesting thing here. When my wife and I started in the lifestyle, she was a member of the LDS church. That's the Mormons to those of you who don't know what LDS means. Anyway, the first couple we swung with was turned to to be LDS as well. We all got a chuckle out of that.

Luckily, she came to her senses and left the church a few years ago. Not at my urging, although my own spiritual journey probably contributed to her decision.

Dude45, if you are still out there, I wish you the best. I have a teenage relative whose mom was recently converted to another crazy restrictive sect. It is difficult for his unconverted parent, but obviously the child is vulnerable and must be thought of first. You deserve a lot of sympathy for what you are going through in your marriage, and you deserve your frustration, but it would be easy to let your own frustrations interfere with parenting at this point. My wish for you is that you do well for yourself AND your son. I hope you have a good support system.

You obviously already knew your chances of more swinging with your wife were slim. That is a loss, for sure. You also seem to really care about your son and the effects your wife's beliefs are having on him. I hope you are able to provide your son with the guidance he needs, help him have strength of character and internal defenses against what is happening. I am sure your love for him will be there too. Good luck.

Yep, sorry but it's over for you. Someone close to me is a JW and i'm sure it would be.... well.... no.. unh uh.. nope. Anyone that ignores birthdays and Christmas just isn't gonna go there. But she gets around that by just giving you things at odd moments...

The Fuse is right, Dude. At this point the most important, moreso than the marriage, is your son. Make sure you are close enough to provide medical care if he needs it no matter what your wife says.

Hang in there, Pal, you've a tough one ahead of you.
