What is, MWC or same race on ads ?

My question is How do you answer MWC or same race on the ad? Does it mean you have light skin and would like the same? Does it mean you do not want anyone darker than you? Same race? What? I know some may sound self explanitory but, we have Spanish, Indian and Irish in our tree going only back 5 generations. We are nicely tanned if not, light skin in some areas. I believe most people are mixed up as much as us, so how do you answer this?

Totally my two cents, but if a couple has same race only, and you look "ethnic", I think for the most part they would balk. If you all look like any other white couple that's had some time in the sun, I think you're fine. Of course, in order to avoid any confusion on what any PARTICULAR couple means, you could just ask. If they wrote to you after seeing your pictures, it's a pretty safe bet that they're ok with you.

Personally,I wouldn't respond at all.

I'm about as pale as they come, but I wouldn't feel comfortable responding to something like that. If people are going to be judgemental, it's their call, but I find that I don't usually get along with people like that.

Besides, my boyfriend is black, so I guess I couldn't respond even if I wanted to.

In my opinion that is just way too picky. Color, shape, size does not make the person.

We`re ethnics,wife is asian,I am Sicilian on mom`s side,Jewish,Swiss and Romanian on dad`s,and I can pass fro a dark Caucasian or a light skinned Latino.
However,both my wife and I like dark skinned or black people.A blonde does not turn me on at all,so why not put this in the ad?

What difference does it make? Does a label change the validity of your beliefs?

As to the original question (which is old enough that it may not matter), the profile is most likely referring to people of pure/nearly pure European descent, but if you're in doubt, ask. Every couple has a different set of things they'll accept and things they won't.

If a couple says "looking for other MWC's", then they are telling you what they think they are looking for.

Did they contact you? Or are you wanting to reply to their ad? If they contacted you, and you have pictures on your profile, then they know what your race is and you are fine. If you are looking at someone else's ad and it says MWC seeking same.... then you probably won't fall into their "same".

Well, yeah--just like HWP, no single males, no one who lives over 100 miles away, no one who smokes, etc. Swinging, like vanilla dating and life in general, is full of limits people put on things and on others. Everyone should do what they're comfortable with, and with whom they are comfortable.

I really didn't have anything else to add to the thread, but I have seen HWP before and haven't figured out what it means... figured this is as good a place as any to ask. Sorry for the brief sidetrack.

HWP - height weight proportionate. An example would be 220 pounds is ok if you are 6 feet tall but not if you were 5 feet tall.

Its one of those mostly meaningless things that people put in their profile. Its meaningless since from what I've seen one persons 'HWP' as very little in common with anothers.

My two cents...I don't see anything wrong with it.

Everyone has their own tastes and its their ad so they can be as picky as they want. We don't get upset when someone puts in their ad that they only want latin or black couples. Yah they are limiting themselves but it's their perogative.

Just because someone doesn't find us attractive because we're not the same race doesn't make them racist. They're not saying we're bad people. Just that they don't find us attractive and I'd rather know that up front than to find out after a few emails wasted.

We got an email once that said they were interested in meeting us. After reading their profile, which said White couples only, hubby wrote them back and told them we didn't fit their profile. We are Native American.
