| Polyamory & Swinging We realize that polyamory and swinging are two very different things, however they do often overlap. This forum is for the discussion of those overlaps between polyamory & swinging. |

Welcome to the board. Is there already someone you are involved with that you'd like to pursue a triad with? Or are you saying that you are "open" to such an arrangement? |

44DD's, Welcome to the Swinger's Board! Opening your relationship to another person is a major step in your relationship. Something that you wife needs to take the lead on because if she isn't comfortable, well, you know where that is headed. Hopefully you can provide us with more information so we can do the same, and hopefully you are both here together. S |

We are very open to this arrangement with the right woman. We are also looking for sites that promote poly arrangements. Some we have looked at are more spam than substance.

44DD's, I have seen profiles on Swing Lifestyle that are specifically looking for what you are looking for. I also have not seen any sites for poly hunting that were quality sites either. Maybe some of our other folks have suggestions. The other thing you can look for is poly groups in your area. I have seen yahoo groups and such that are oriented in that way. They have M-n-Gs and such that you two could possible attend. S |

I haven't looked at them personally since I haven't had a reason but, a poly forum i belong to has people mentioning OK Cupid and Poly Matchmaker's.com.

Polymatchmaker.com is probably the best site out there devoted to polyamory, it's like swing lifestyles in that it has a pretty decent free level and more features for paid members. I'm currently the hinge of a V with two women, we've all been together for about five years now. I've had multiple partners since my very first relationship with only a couple of bouts of monogamy. ALL of my best multiple person relationship situations were ones that I lucked into. It's like any other sort of dating, when I or we went out looking it was like a vast wasteland out there. When we weren't looking, situations just happened. Sort of like the stereotypical single male in swinging, among polyfolk the thing that sets the teeth on edge the most are the ads for a couple looking for their "second wife" with a description that could be read right out of Heinlein. So to the OP, if it's something you want to seek, you may have better luck in being careful how you look |

Here are some sites to look at to help decide where you fit in the world of polyamory, or if it's even what you are looking for: Required reading on polyamory. The best intro to what it is and what it is not that I know: Franklin Veaux's "Polyamory? What, like, two girlfriends?" Next is Anita Wagner's site Practical Polyamory Also, buy the book Opening Up by Tristan Taormino. This is a great book not only on polyamory, but on open relationships of all kind. Cunning Minx's website and podcast Polyamory Weekly is a great resource also. Polyamorous Percolations is another good one with lots of links to information and other polyamory sites. A great blog by a great woman is Not Your Mother's Playground. She writes about her everyday life in an open relationship there. That should get you started. Mr. WS / AKA Lucius Scribbens |
