Maybe I'm just noticing it more but it seems like there more and more main stream articles about swinging in recent years.
I wouldn't put too much stock in the polls though. The poll was done by askdanandjennifer.com, not American Chronicles.
People that are lifestyle friendly or more sexually open than the general population are more likely to visit a site like that.
In fact, polling on such a site with the questions they ask seems to be waste of time and means nothing. It's like asking people at a Sci-Fi convention if they like Klingons.

The Klingon women sure wear sexy stuff, that's for sure.

Anytime the mainstream media prints anything positive about alternative relationships, it's a good thing.

I heard an interesting comment on NPR today, and it was "With all the cable TV networks and blogs on the Internet these day, nobody has to listen to anything that they don't agree with anymore."

It's very true, and especially so with your comment about Ask Dan and Jennifer. It is a site more frequented by those that are a bit more sexually open, but there is a bunch of comments made to their articles by those that confuse religion with morality or just feel them mus stir the shit by being contradictory and judgmental at the same time.
