I agree, I would have to vote on the side that
"pural marrages" are not poly relationships in my mind (the major theme in the story if I recall correctly). They are not in many cases supported by love, not to say all pural marrages do not have love. It just when talking about the LDS and the reformed...or (?) should I say the non-reformed versions of LDS, that the arranged marrage of purals kinds of bugs me. And this deal that some sects have of arranging marrage for young girls, makes me sick. The LDS church came to grips with this issue long ago, when it banned pural marrage.
Now do I think pural marrages should be banned? Heck I do not know, we tend to ban anything we do not understand or want to understand. Was not long ago that mixed race marrages were banned.
