How often do you have sex with your partner?

I just read a statistic (and you know how accurate they are) that 50% of couples in the lifestyle have sex 4 or more times per week...

We typically "monkey around" 5 or more... We laugh about how weird we are when one of us wants to take the night off... I'm not complaining...

Anyway - my question would have made a great poll, except I have no idea how to do something so technical (I have just managed to figure out fishing for ants with a stick.). Is the average dorrect?

Granted, couples with small kids or big kids who are high drama/traffic/maintainence might have trouble finding THAT much alone time. But I am curious about the rest of us. And do you think it has anything to do with being involved in swinging, or is the opposite true - that you are involved in swinging because you had a highly charged sex life before hands. I'd vote for that, since we have actually "settled" into a 5 time per week pattern... We have always been highly active sexually and see swinging as more of a "spill over".

Anyway - what are the REAL stats?

We are about 4 days a week but we work different shifts and only see each other about 15 minutes a day . But sometimes we will do it more than once a day

I wish we could have more alone time! We have 2 little kids. One will be 1 in June the other will be 3 in June. We still do pretty good. We have sex 3-4 times a week. But we do go to bed pretty early. I (female half) am lucky if I can stay awake through the 10 o'clock news! lol

Well.... I think we averaged twice a day last week (and that was just with each other). Not that it's always like that of course. Red works three nights every week (9pm to 8am), so we do get a break. Wednesday is her first night off work in the week, so Wednesday nights we don't tend to get to sleep very early

Yes, the one remaining "kid" at home does limit things a little, though as she is 19 now, we don't worry too much - she can always power up her CD-Walkman if we are getting too noisy

I would say we average 2-3 times a week. We have 2 young ones as well, so a lot of time is spent running after them making sure they don't destroy everything in sight. And no, WR it better not count for "being in a bed" else we'd be down to zero. With the two little ones, we HAVE to be creative as to when and where we can get it on.....And it always makes for pretty interesting memories (each of us gets a smile whenever the dryer starts up LOL)

We go through periods where we will have sex everyday, sometimes twice a day then we will go through periods when we are lucky to get it in once a week. He works third shift--I work first. So we aren't on the same schedule. Right now we are on a middle average between the two...so I'd say so far five times this week. Pretty good

We have two boys and never really let the kids deter us from getting it on. We taught them at a young age that when Daddy and Mommy's door is shut...you go sit on the couch and wait....watch TV....play video games. It worked. Now they just roll their eyes and absolutely can't believe that we still have sex "at our age".

That is awesome GirlieZ! We can't wait till our kids are old enough to teach them that. We try not to let our kids deter us either. But it can be a real mood killer when we think they are fully distracted in their room, we sneak to ours, close the door, start to get it on & there is a little bang on the dorr & when it isn't opened the littlest starts crying. It sure is hard to keep going. But it sure does make for some funny memories!

We did the same thing when ours were little , we called it Momma and Daddy time. Now that they are older they have gotten used to us spending all our time in the bedroom and we still get the :rollseyes .

With Ted traveling during the week it kind of brings our average down to 3-4 ...we spend every weekend making up for lost time. On the weeks that he is at home it's usually every night. The last week he was home we missed one night and I called him at work the next day complaining...he answered the phone and I said...Hey, we didn't have sex last night can we have it tonight? Yes, be in bed at 9:00 and I will meet you there. Ok, Love you, bye.

We always had a very active sex life before swinging so I will have to go with we are involved in swinging because of it. Although that's not the only reason

we try to average at least 4-5 times a week but doesnt always happen that way. Sometimes more sometimes less. Our boys know that if we are in our room they have to leave us alone but that doesnt always happen either...lol

Now as for the lifestyle changeing our sex life and the amount. Well, kinda i would have to say. I know i am more aggressive now at starting things and it does seem to be alot more "hotter" sex than before. It did kinda liven things up a little. But we have both always loved sex so....it only light up a little fire and get us back to when we were dating again!!

We've got 2 young children and I (Mrs) have a son who's 20 and we have always had a good sex life but when our youngest was born Mr. changed his shift to nights for extra money and I stayed at home, so the only time we could get it was when the children were asleep, but we still managed it twice a week which was low. Also it took us 2 years of paper work and interviews etc to emigrate over here and that was quite stressful.
When we got here in Canada it's gone off the richeter scale and we are back to being rabbits Oh how I love Canada and it's about 5 times a week even though Mr. has to get up really early.
And if all goes well the weekend it could be more

There is no doubt that swinging has inspired some pretty "randy" weeks for us. But, we have yet to reach the heights CD is talking about... Twice a day for a week? Impressive, my friend...

Our best was 13 for her, 12 for me. (I had to hire a contractor for the last one )

And for all of you guys who have successfully trained your kids to sit on the couch when mommy and daddy are having a tickle fight - bravo! For HotCoupleGnS - we'll send velcro!

We're on the every day plan (Multiples on weekends). We've been together about 7 years, and the only time we haven't had sex daily has been when one of us was away on business. Other than that, there have probably been fewer than 30 days missed in the entire time we've been together. It's probably been about three months or so since we've missed a day. Our kids are all teens, so no concerns about them interrupting, and our work schedules are nearly identical. We leave home within minutes of each other most days, and are usually home within a half hour of each other.
