Address Book for Swinging Contacts

In another thread which talks of phone calls, it got me to wondering just where do you keep your email addresses and phone numbers for your swing friends?

We really do have a "Little Black Book" (well it is a 5-7 binder notebook and it is black) in which we keep all of our swinging information, separate from our mainstream friend's name/address/phone information.

In our book we keep directions to homes/meeting arrangements, names and contact numbers. Gene once asked me why we didn't keep the information in our *normal* address book and I gently explained to him..."Well honey, how would you look them up?" "Would you go by first name or screen name?"

We know very few swinger friends by their last names. Generally just their first names and their screen names which has become in our eyes the definition of who they are and their last names.

In other words how would you put into your personal address book for easy access... Lori and Gene of OhioCouple? Do you head for the "L's" the "G's" or the "O's"?

We have found it easiest to keep a separate binder and devote a page in which we can record all pertinent information.

How do the rest of ya'll do this? Do you have a black book too?

I use yahoo IM which allows you to add detailed info about your buddies including address/phone/real name. That way it is password protected.

I use the last pages behind the XYZ of my regular phone book. There aren't so many names (LOL) that I have to alphabetize them - they are usually in the order that I've met them which makes more sense (to me)

We have a rainbow colored book , that contains names and notes about who we meet .

We haven't used it in a long time because we meet a lot of new friends at the club

We use to just keep those swinger addresses in our P.C. address book until our system had majer problems and we could not get to them (eventially the repairman had to delete everything)
Now we print off our addresses every time we add someone new. We keep this list in our lock-box with our other IMPORTANT papers.

I keep track of our lifestyle friends in the address file attached to their address/handle in our email account. I agree with Lori, what would you file them under? We tend to refer to the couples "Jan and Joe of Xcouple" also. It sounds funny because even if I am refering to only one of them I seem to clarify it by stating their significant other's name as well, I was talking to Jan - of Jan and Joe....

For those couples that we have a friendship that exists outside of the bedroom as well, they have graduated to our regular address book kept by the phone.

I think you answered your own question! They all go under "O's"

We keep them in our Outlook Contacts, in a separate folder from our 'regular' contacts. Since our PCs require passwords, they are safe from prying eyes, and we backup to CD regularly.

They're listed mostly by first name and since we don't have too many (yet ), they're not too hard to keep track of.

I know this topic has come up in the past, but I wanted to get a feel from you guys on something.


1.How do you manage your swinger contacts? Do you have some sort of computerized database that you've created or downloaded? Do you just have a little notebook you write everything down in?


2. Would you be interested in a program that you could download and enter all your swinger contacts details in, which would then be searchable by whatever parameter you chose?


The idea: A program where you can enter your friends names, phone #, messenger IDs, emails, notes (about when you met them, where, etc), even pictures... and perhaps even connect it to a calender that you could update with info on dates you met them or plan to meet them.

I can speak for myself anyway....

Almost all of that stuff can be done easily in MS Outlook or Outlook Express (which comes on every Windows computer).

You can attach appointments to your contacts, etc. put all sorts of contact info in there including IM and the like.

Each contact file has a TON of room for notes as well... and you can copy/paste pictures in there or worst case, link to a file on your computer (or online) with the pic.


You can also (at least in Outlook) create multiple contact folders and password-protect them as well. So it's pretty secure.

I have a very high tech system. I write things down on scraps of note paper and hope that I can find them later. I do have an appointment book but it is used on a sort of random basis. Most of the information that I need I keep in my head. If I can't find it there then I start rooting through the scraps of paper.

But I don't have any swinger contacts listed. No swinger contacts to list. But hundreds of friends, releatives, coworkers, church people, politicians, etc.

Yep, for us it would be like buying one of those huge American double-door refridgerators to keep a quart of milk and a stick of celery in.

We use a excel spreadsheet, everybody gets there own sheet inside and it includes pics, #'s, and info about them. We usually really use it when we first meet a couple and we chat online. That way we can remember information about them that you might for get. And we even caught some fakes with it because there information kept changing.
