And sportnyc - your comment about Raymond on Everybody Loves Raymond. One of my favorite shows. When I first saw this thread, that is one of the first couples I thought of. I can just picture Raymond whining in the background.

I think there was one episode where Greg's parents thought Dharma's parents were swingers and wanted to swing with them. They got drunk and went for it, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding.

I'm going to show my age again, but Jack was only pretending to be gay so the Ropers would allow him to room with the girls. Ah, things have really changed in TV.

I no doubt not only would Darhma talk Greg into swinging, but their for sure Darhma's parents. It's all about sharing the love.

On thing I have noticed in reading this thread, it seems like the ladies are the type to play and the men are the tight asses. Of course who would you rather frolick with, Samatha or Darren?

so true on the pretending to be gay thing. remember his friend larry! boy what a pig! as far as chrissy being the elusive female well no duoght on that she was so ditzy im sure she did not even know what she was.

would not think the scully mulder mix thing would be bad still . remember in the last epesodes scullys new partner had a thing for her and the other female fbi girl had a thing for mulder..

Back to the Jeffersons and the Bunkers...that thought still makes me smile. I can just picture George Jefferson doing Edith from behind while chanting,"Who's yo daddy! Who's yo daddy!" Edith would exclaim, "OOOHHH Archie, you've never done that before! OOOOOOHHHH George, that feels real nice!" Meanwhile Archie would be easing into Weezie and saying," alright, dere, Weezie, I'm going to go nice and slow like, so's I don't hurt youze", and Weezie would reply,"Quit your damn jabberin', and get to it Archie!"
I can imagine the Flintstones and the Rubbles, but Fred would probably want to do a threesome with Wilma and Betty while Barney worked the camera. And Barney would probably be cool with that....so would Betty.
Bewitched could have had some great possibilities, but I really think that all the relationships on that show were way too screwed up to really make swinging a viable alternative....they just weren't emotionally ready for swinging....they definately needed to work on better communication skills.
