Did You Start Swinging Before Or After You Were In A Committed Relationship?

Up until the last year, almost every couple we had met in the "lifestyle" had their first multi-partner sexual experience after they had been first in a committed relationship (either with their current partner or a prior partner). That is to say that they had no group sex experiences in high school or college or prior to their first committed relationship (be that living together, marriage, whatever). Today, we are running into more and more people who experimented with group sex in school (yes, some in high school). So, now we are curious and wonder:

Did you experiment with swinging before entering your first committed relationship?

If anyone has any stories they'd care to share, please post them!

We both had experiences prior to getting together. Although, he was in a relationship at the time of his; I was not.

And actually, for both of us, the experiences happened in high school.

OK, well I guess we assume that anyone playing in high school would be in a "relationship." By committed relationship, we mean to suggest marriage or living together--something more than just dating. In our day, just having sex in high school was really risque. So, the idea of engaging in sex with a group just blows our minds.

If you don't mind us asking, how did it happen for each of you--what were the circumstances?

Me too - although I was one of the 'risque' ones! But there wasn't any group sex in my highschool days! At least not with me involved!

Roger and I had been together 8 years (married 5 of those) before we started in the lifestyle. And our first adventure was some exhibitionism and voyeurism - not any swapping back then. Boy did we move SLOW back then as compared to now. I think a lot of it is due to the time it takes to nurture a relationship to make it so strong and intense! Now that we're there, our adventures come more often!

I'm fairly consistently shocked with just how Young people are when they first have sex (and I'm not that old at 32!).... my wife was 22 and I was 20 before our first ~ me first though as I'm 4 years her senior. Anyway, we'd been together for 2 years when we had our first group experience. Living together for a year of that time... so I guess we fit the 'committed' option fairly well.

I had no clue people were having sex (or drinking, doing drugs, or aboslutly anything else) when I was in HS... call me clueless, though hopefully not anymore.

I'll be the oddball in the group. My first experience was a one-time thing when I was still single and not dating anybody (a few years ago, after divorce). I was the unicorn for a couple. It was fun and very interesting, something I'll never forget. It was the first time I ever touched a woman sexually, ever kissed a woman, etc. And definitely the first time I had sex with two people at once.

At the time, I thought it was just a unique experience that I "got out of my system" while I was still single and free. I was looking forward to finding Mr. Right and being in a committed relationship again. Some time after that happened, after Mr. Tybee and I were married, I told him about that one-time thing I'd had. After he recovered from the shock , he was fascinated to hear more about how I'd felt about that, and about how I felt about being with a woman. That conversation led to more conversations, and....here we are!

never really thought about it this way, but iguess it was before, no swapping but does same car count? , if it does then i miss voted, but really not untill a couple of years after we were married

For my boyfriend, his girlfriend of about a year wanted to have a MFM threesome. So he found a classmate to have a threesome with...not much to tell.

Mine on the other hand...well, from what I remember... It was our senior class trip and we were all fairly intoxicated. Some of us were dancing and then started kissing and then one thing somehow lead to another (but I'm not quite sure how). The next thing I know there's a lot of naked people doing a lot of different things. At times, there was probably up to 6 people at a time, but it seems like a lot more kept coming and going. Despite being drunk, I don't regret it at all - I just wished that I could remember a few more details!

It was before, but I didn't consider it swinging at the time. Me and another guy got it on with three girls from another school during a track meet. My buddy still hasn't stopped talking about it (25 years later) it, but I wanted to do a little more than watching two of the girls go at it while the third gave us blow jobs.

My first experience was while being married to MrVan. I had thoughts about it while married to my first husband but he was dead set against it. However, MrVan had some experience with his first wife so yes we both were in a committed relationship.

But man, where did you all go to school at cause we never had sex like that in school. If I had learned then about the lifestyle, wow I would not have settled for the first guy to come along.

Our first swing experiences came after Muffy and I were married and settled. Prior to that, I was just a dumbass single horndog. Just like most of the dumbass single horndogs that one meets in the lifestyle. Muffy was shy, reserved, and inexperienced in all facets of sex, not just lifestyle sex. Things sure have changed .........

My husband and I were married before our first swinging experience. We'll both admit to having plenty of sex in high school though. I was 19 and he was 22 when we were married.

Though, I did have a few female encounters while in high school with no committed relationship. My first discovery of being bi-sexual was back then.

I lost my virginity at 14 to my boyfriend in a room with several other couples engaged in various sex acts. My best friend actually held my hand and talked me through the entire expierence. All the way through high school my clique never "dated" anyone special. We just all hooked up on Friday and Saturday (and sometimes after school). We would hang out, swim in the summer, go 4-wheeling, etc. then have sex with each other. No body was shy and no body was ever left out. If there was an odd number someone just had a 3sum. Some of my clique actually paired off and married after h.s. all but one couple is divorced. A good friend that I still keep in touch with is still married to one of the guys from the group.
