How do you orgasm during intercourse?

Okay, I looked around a bit and didn't see a poll on this topic so I'm making one. If one already exists then... we'll just say I'm using proper scientific method and testing whether the previous poll results are replicable. Then, later, we can do a meta analysis! YAY!

The question goes out to all the ladies out there:

How do you typically orgasm during intercourse?

Last night Kermit noted that I usually "take matters into my own hands" so to speak when having sex. He has the idea that it's more manly to be able to get himself and the women he is with off all at the same time. His suggestion was that I not do this some of the time so that he can practice running the whole show. We've noticed that other women he has been have a tendency to sit back and let him do all the work (which is very different from my tactic).

I orgasm from vaginal intercourse alone, no help from toys, no clitoral stimulation taking places. It's taken me a long time to be able to orgasm on a regular basis from intercourse (and it still doesn't happen every time). If I let the man run the show and decided on the positions and angles it's just not going to happen, he's clueless as to where my sensitive spots are. I almost always pick the position and angle myself just right for him to hit the gspot and then usually cue him in on how fast to go... and of course I tell him in a very sexy way. Extra stimulation on the clit does almost nothing for me and I rarely come from oral and never from manual stimulation (clitoral). Sometimes if the guy gets it right I can cum from manual gspot stimulation but that doesn't happen as often as I would like.

to make sure we're clear here, we're talking about orgasms during intercourse. I used the word sex above which I am now thinking sounds a little vague.

I used to always "take the show into my own hands" for the first few years we were married because obviously I knew exactly what to do. I always orgasm from clitoral stimulation during intercourse. Only a couple of times I haven't and they weren't during intercourse. After doing some research and reading, hubby talked me into laying back, relaxing and just enjoying myself while he learned exactly what to do to my body. Lets just say the next couple of years were a lot of fun!!! It took a lot more than just intercourse for him to learn my body and for me to learn to lay back and let him do his thing. That is hard to do when you're used to having control. I will say that I have learned to let it build slower and longer which results in more intense orgasms. We are still trying new things and learning more, especially about my g-spot and female ejaculation. Hubby and I orgasm together 98% of the time.

It took me years to be able to have an orgasm much more than about once every 5 or 6 times we were together. Mr. Swing took the initiative a couple of years ago to get a book about the female body and how it works and learned different techniques (of which he mastered with me!!). Now, I have an orgasm every time we have intercourse. Initially, it had to be vaginal and clitoral stimulation, but he has now learned how to hit the g-spot as well as the cul-de-sac and either one can produce a mind blowing "O". Only rarely now do I 'need' clitoral stimulation. I also used to never be able to climax with oral alone. Now, need I say more?.......................................

Hmmm..I had to think about this one....I usually find it very very difficult to have an orgasm without any sort of manipulation. I guess I take things into my own hands, and sometimes he does the job for me .

I came close once with just intercourse alone but it is a matter of being able to hit the right spot...practise makes perfect i guess

I posted orgasm before or after. I have never had an orgasm during intercourse. I usually masturbate before intercourse for two reasons, one Mr. GT likes to watch and help of course and two, I like to be first at everything.

OK I tried to pick more than one option as more than one applies to me. Vaginal alone works as well as vaginal with clitoral with either me or him using hands and/or toys as well as clitoral orgasms during intercourse. I don't rally think poll is faulty just need to be able to pick more than one option.

I didn't make it an option for you to pick more than 1 as I was looking for what you consider to be typical for you. If more than 1 applies then just pick the one that applies more regularly. OR - if that doesn't help you then pick the "This poll is faulty" option and post about how you orgasm all the time all over the place in every which way

However, I should note: If you are going to write a while heck of a lot about how you orgsam all the time all over the place in every which way you might think of submitting a story about it instead of going into too much detail here

Sorry, since i have neither a vagina nor a clitoris I'm unable to accurately respond to this poll. I'll have to see if Bonnie wants to answer this one, she has both!

If you're really interested though, I usually orgasm with a shudder a groan and some heavy breathing followed by periods of sleep!

Tom, I'd like to invite you to create a poll on the different ways in which men achieve orgasm during intercourse. While you're at it you could also create a poll on the many ways in which the 3rd gender achieves orgasm. Then we can put all three polls together and discuss the differences and similarities between the 3 genders. I think we could make a very interesting analysis. Perhaps we will be able to conclude that there is in fact no difference between men women and other and that it really is unfair to look at women as a distinct group. Or perhaps not. We won't know without some more polls and perhaps some background research into biology and the social psychology behind gender identification.
