Isn't it interesting how few people are willing to say how many people they've had intercourse with in their lifetimes?

Both of us were married once previously. I was her 8th sexual partner, and she was my 6th.

After nearly 9 years of swinging, she now has had intercourse with 42 men and I have had intercourse with 34 women. So I am averaging about 3 new sex partners per year since we started swinging, and she is averaging about 4 new sex partners per year.

I guess we're just sluts, but we sure are HAPPY sluts!

I don't think few are willing, most have answered by way of the poll - that's what polls are for. It's much easier to give a ballpark (for some) than to give an exact count. Some of us don't keep diaries are put notches in our bedposts after each encounter to ensure an accurate count.

I put 20-25 ... though I don't know if that's accurate. Hubby was my #8 as I was married before, though first husband and I did not swing and we were married for 10 years. I was somewhat active prior to my first marriage.

Last I counted, I was up to around 19 ... that includes swing partners, husbands and "others".

If I had to include the two date rapes, that would add two more, but I generally don't include them. :rollseyes

Julie, we don't put notches on our bedposts or keep diaries either. What we DO, though, is keep an excel file of names & dates. Hopefully we won't ever need that, but if the Health Department ever notified us that someone we had been with had an STD and wanted us to get ourselves checked out and wanted to know who WE had been with, we think it is only responsible to keep records.

This is true. We remember experiences, not numbers. We honestly have lost count - whether that is before or after 30, I couldn't really say, but I suspect 30 has come and gone... Strongly suspect it...

Okay, I'm the new guy too. This post might be old, but it's simply wrong. Clinton lied about having sexual relations, and it had nothing to do with the Arkansas court's definition of sexual relations. I looked Clinton's case up on Lexis. He was found in contempt of court for lying. Some relavant quotes are these: At the request of plaintiff's counsel, the term "sexual relations" was defined as follows during the deposition: "For the purposes of this deposition, a person engages in 'sexual relations' when the person knowingly engages in or causes ... contact with the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks of any person with an intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person... 'Contact' means intentional touching, either directly or through clothing." This clearly encompasses oral sex. See, it was the lawyer for the OIC who defined the term, not the Arkansas Court system. Second quote here: n16 "The President seemed to accept OIC's [office of the independent counsel's] characterization of his improper contact with Ms. Lewinsky as "some kind of sex" and as a "physically intimate" relationship. Pres. GJ Test. at 123, 136. Although the President did not disclose any specific sexual acts between himself and Ms. Lewinsky, he did state that oral sex performed by Ms. Lewinsky on himself would not constitute "sexual relations" as that term was defined by plaintiff at his deposition. Id. at 93, 100. 102, 104-05, 151-52, 168. It appears the President is asserting that Ms. Lewinsky could be having sex with him while, at the same time, he was not having sex with her." Well that quote speaks for itself. Simply put, there are a lot of folks who liked the Clintons, but facts are facts--the man lied and he lied about sex in a lawsuit "about sex." That's about as illegal as it gets. Now, as to why he was never prosecuted criminally for such lie--well, we all saw the news. Both He and OJ Simpson were as innocent as the wind-driven snow.
