After-Effects of First Time Swinging

I'd say that would mostly depend on how things went between the two couples. If everything goes well then the only after effect would probably be a closer relationship. If things don't go well for one couple or the other, it could cause a rift, especially if the two couples were friends before they played together.

If the two couples just meet and go at it, and one or the other decides they aren't interested, what I've seen more often than not is that the uninterested couple just stops communicating, no longer emailing/ calling or returning calls/ emails.

I agree with MiCpl, it would depend on the relationship between the two couples. Our first experience was with a couple that we had been close friends with for a couple of years. I didn't want anyone to be assumed that every subsequent meeting would turn sexual, so I verbally expressed that concern before hand. Again, talking first turned out to be the best way to avoid any discomfort later.

I would have to agree with your summation, seems a bit odd to me that they would even want to.

Many of us find it a very bad idea to swing with family. Remember though, that in many parts of the world, and in the USA also, keeping it 'in the family' is the normal way of doing things. You have to discuss this with your husband and make very sure of how often you will be expected to 'share' and other things. Know what you are getting into . You have to decide what you want and act accordingly.

Even though experience is limted to our two best friends our swinging with them was well accepted by all without any problems. Things went so well we continued weekly for two years until my buddy died of cancer.
In the beginning there was some slight jealousy but was soon overcome with immense pleasure. Wife had cold feet right up to the last moment then changed her mind. We havent been with another couple, a couple of guys-yes. After we did it the first time, it was with a friend of fifteen years, it was a bit awkward on his side but my wife and I actually felt closer to each other and to him. I think a lot of people who aren't voyeurs have a hard time understanding how a husband can just sit and watch his wife have sex with another guy. Mine loves it.. and will watch till he can't take it anymore and has to join in. That makes me love it all the more.. just knowing that he enjoys it so much. I love the freedom that the lifestyle gives us. Before we were married I always had it in my head that when you get married have to give all of that up.
