  1. You might find this useful, reprinted from the original 1969 NASCA handbook CLOSE ENCOUNTERS swingers Etiquette
  2. That is total nonsense if you have a trouble maker you don't have to "have" something on them just throw them out.
  3. Opening a club is not that much different than opening any other kind of business. Develop a business plan, set a budget, review your plan with your accountant and attorney, obtain a location, get the necessary permits for the renovations the location will no doubt need, hire the contractors, get your occupancy permit and then your business license, get your federal employer Id # then hire your staff. You'll probably want to hire a sound engineer to design your sounds system. It sounds as though you want a club for you and your wife to go to that is close by. IF you really want to give up swinging then you should by all means open a club for others to enjoy.
  4. All very valid points. We operate three clubs. Two are hotel socials, one a full scale nightclub. All have liquor licensees. Depending on local regulations BYOB can cause more problems than it cures. Florida for instance requires a Bottle club license, not only do BYOB clubs still have to adhere to liquor laws but they introduce a whole new set of reporting problems. The bottom line is find out with the help of a competent attorney what the laws are that will affect your operation and obey them.
  5. We met at a gas station in the Florida Keys. You can guess when by the price at the pump 24.9 cents a gallon
  6. As it happens Lori, prostitution is NOT legal in Las Vegas nor Reno. There is no state law in Nevada against prostitution but most communities have local laws against it. I can't speak to Sweden, I have little knowledge of their laws. I only know the form of government is Socialist Democratic. These societies tend to have a liberal view on personal preferences. So my educated guess is you are right.
  7. M&M, Understand that we don't agree with the laws anymore than you do. Neither do we agree with helmet and seat belt laws most zoning ordnances, liquor regulations, pornography statutes and tax codes. However until they are changed we have to operate within them. Lori, To my knowledge there are no clubs operating in areas that have legal prostitution. It would seem that if there were the owners and employees would be able to enjoy the activities without fear of prosecution.
  8. You PAID, doesn't matter if you call it a donation a cover charge a membership fee a penance or a bribe. If one person gives another person money and then proceeds to have sex with that person or someone under their control then in virtually all jurisdictions the act of prostitution has taken place. While one my be watching the door it appears no one is watching their back.
  9. Depending on the physical arrangement this could be a problem for clubs if they use street parking. We have ample parking on our own property, well lit and covered by security cameras.
  10. Did the sex take place at the location were the party you paid admission to took place? The persons you had sex with were the ones who took your money or worked for them? In ether case if the answer is yes then in most jurisdictions those persons could be charged with prostitution. If you attended an off-premise party and invited or were invited by the owners to meet and have sex as consenting adults after hours in another location then you have not by any screech of the imagination of the most creative prosecutor broken any laws.
  11. This can get any ON-premise club in trouble. If you pay someone money and then they have sex with you...... Doesn't take the sharpest DA to find a case to work with there huh. Security will work differently at each club depending on several factors, the size, layout, wether it is on or off premise. Security's role is Provide a safe environment for the patrons. Prevent the public's access. Discretely handle any problems that may come up. Ideally no one except the person being dealt with by a security person would ever be aware of any actions taken.
  12. Jean-Claude, It's not so much the road to Liberty. That road was a super highway when we spanked the red coats. It's the returning of our freedoms for the sake of security that really hurts. Alas, too many of us sit at home and watch election results rather than stand in the ever shorter lines at the voting booth. As Ben Franklin observed long ago, he who gives up his freedom in exchange for security will get neither, and deserves neither.
  13. Each community has it's own laws from alcohol regulations to zoning ordnances. Every club should have legal representation long before they open the doors to members. Many laws exist whose only purpose is selective prosecution ie: sodomy, sexual devices, fornication. As an example it is not legal in Mississippi to have sex with anyone other than ones spouse and then only if the spouse is farther distant than second cousin and the sex is in the missionary position. In Alabama one may own 1 but no more sexual device if that device was prescribed by a physician for the relief of histeria, however it is not legal for a store to sell such a device. I'm sure this doesn't answer any questions but only serves to bring up more.
  14. Our initial motivation was simply to get a club going for us and our friends since at the time there was nothing in our area. We were lucky to be in a financial position of not needing to make money in fact at the time a loss was to our ultimate benefit, (this being the second week in April sure there are others who can relate LOL). At the time we were hosting parties virtually every weekend. Having the club allowed us to do that without the house cleaning :-) Virtually every club owner we know has as their primary motivation to help promote a lifestyle that has made them happy. We don't know any who have become rich from running a club. We do know several like ourselves who can afford to have a club for the fun of it. Some people will sink their disposable cash into a boat, plane, or villa we find the club to be more fun.
