To certify or not certify, that is the question...
dovedark replied to angelkin's topic in Finding People to Swing With
We have no certs at this time and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand it would be an indicator that we are real and do meet and hopefully that would bring more "traffic" our way. On the other hand that little church girl in me is saying, "don't get certified, it will proclaims your slut status to the world." LOL Hubby could care less either way. -
The benefits so far for us, since we have extremely limited experiences so far with other couples, is our sex life is off the charts. One of the best things besides the sex is that this lifestyle has forced us out of our comfort zone and pushed us to present ourselves to others. We now enjoy going out and pushing ourselves to talk to other people. Heck, he has even started dancing, something that he never would have done before. Will he do it in a vanilla setting? Probably not. We are learning new things about ourselves and each other and our relationship and it has been a blessing for us. Yes, even the times when we learned something about each other or did something that did not please our partner. Why? Because we talked and yelled and made up because our relationship is worth it.

Update Well, we met up at our local off premise bar and had a good time dancing and talking. Afterwards we all went downtown and had a late, late dinner or early early breakfast. We had a great time just talking and getting to know each other better. I so wanted to kiss her (this is the female half writing) but was not sure how to proceed in that direction. They encouraged us to sign up for a hotel party. Which we did yesterday. So, I guess the ball is in their court or maybe they are going slow because of our newbieness and waiting to see what moves we make. They told us they are not bedhoppers and we don't want to be that either. hmmm, I won't push it and hopefully things will either move forward or they won't.

WooHoo! We got telephone numbers today. I am like a kid in a candy store. I am just so tingly right now. Yes, in all the right places. Okay, time for reason to kick in. I will calm down. I will not act like a horny teenager (although, i feel like one) Texted Hubby and he is happy too. " I told you they liked us. calm down you freak." Exact words to me. God I love that man.

Even though Hubby and I just joined LS ( and have hardly any experience to back our opinions up) I utterly agree with this statement. We look the 20 -35 somethings and say too young. Not because of physical age but because we don't feel that they know who they are yet. Ie: maturity. I'm not saying that everyone in that age bracket is not aware of who they are and what they want but my life experience tells me they aren't and I don't want to see anyone get hurt or ruin their relationship because of a lack of life experience. Just my 2 cents..

Hi ya'll Hope this is the right place to post this. We met a couple at a local swingers bar. We seemed to connect and they emailed us after they left the club saying that they wanted to get together. We replied positively to their mail but have not heard back. Ughh, I know, Newbie wanting things to happen now. I should practice patience. Should I send them another email suggesting dinner or drinks and let them know when we are available? Is that too pushy? I don't wan to come off as pushy.

Thank you for all the input. Hopefully we will get some action soon. I deleted the pic and put it up on public.

The scammers that prey on our lifestyle
dovedark replied to Spoomonkey's topic in Adventures in Swinging
My spidey senses are working already after a month in. We had a "couple" ask us to "tell us more about yourselves" I did, it was all G rated stuff and they asked for pics I sent them a couple shot. Asked them to reciprocate.. No reply on that email, but they did say.. " we are still waiting for those pics" I replied. so am I -
dovedark on swinglifestyle Any feedback would be great. Oh, Hubby's pic and couple pic are in private gallery. How do we move it to public? Thanks

What to take with us for our first swinger meet
dovedark replied to dovedark's topic in Curious About Swinging?
well, we met last night and did full swap. Nothing like jumping in feet first though. I (the fem) thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Poor hubby was so nervous and worried that he was unable to perform as expected. He did continue to please her orally and manually. He was able to get an erection for me later but not for our friend. Needless to say he is questioning our choice. I want to continue and I am hoping that he will too. Any suggestions to help my man out? I really want to continue to explore this lifestyle but obviously won't do so without my husband. -
What to take with us for our first swinger meet
dovedark replied to dovedark's topic in Curious About Swinging?
I swear I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. I know I should not have any expectations but this has been on the back burner for such a long time.. btw this is the female half here. We have had 2 internet chats with the couple and it always leaves us wanting more. The anticipation and sex between hubby and I has been amazing since we decided to share our amazing sex life with others. SW PA I hear you and will go into the evening with nothing more than hoping for good food and conversation. cplnuswing Thanks I figured condoms and mints but not the wipes. Now, if only we can get up the nerve to go to a meet and greet. Baby steps. -
Hi everyone, We are meeting our first couple. My question is what should I take with us to be prepared for the possibility of going beyond dinner? This is our first foray into swinging. We are nervous, excited, scared etc... Thanks.

Who brought up the idea of swinging? OR has it been brought up?
dovedark replied to JustAskJulie's topic in Swingers Talk
we are both researching . Female is the one who brought it up again and finally did something about it.. much to the delight of dear hubby.
