Speak more than one lanquage? Does southern count? Seriously none. Not even ubby dubby. But I did study 6 years of Spanish and 2 of Italian.

Beverage? There you guys go with the favorite again!!! So here is the list of favorites... artesian spring water, aged single malt scotch, traditional espresso with twist of lemon (and not Starbucks...sorry fans) with an oh so beautiful thick crem on the top, fresh squeezed grafefruit juice, shiraz from its home country, bubble water with cranberry concentrate, cabs, sassafras tea, Irish/Scots dark brews and ales from abbys in Belgium (heaven bless my personal supplier of those), herbal suntea...and a fresh brewed cup of joe from A&P beans or the local Dunkin Donuts.

Country Girl at heart. But need just enough City time to keep me balanced. If the city has interesting food and lots to explore on foot I am there!

I do like a good VW beetle too! Miss my 73 Super Beetle and the Carmengia. Could not have asked for a better car on heavy snow days and fun summer camping trips.

OMG! I had a 1970 Tangerine, convertable, Karmann Ghia! That was the best damn vehicle I ever had! I modified that sucker in so many ways. Porche 914 engine, digital dash, 7 position leather Ricro seats, stanliess exhaust, 5 speed tranny, the works. That car would fly! Sigh. the ex sold it for $350.00 to a junk dealer after we separated. She had no idea how much money she threw away. SIGH!

Mr. CXXC. Thank you for the spelling correction. Knew something wasn't right but could not get a handle on it. Oh. The first Karmann Ghia I ever rode in was a 1970 - beautiful yellow. Leather seats. Modified. Convertible. So similar. Still can see the day I saw it. I was 14. That was my dream car to own. Alas. Not to be. Did find a blue one many years later. Gorgeous. Porche engine, cream leather seats and all. But the baby spewed oil like crazy and I had to pass. OH I so hope that junk dealer knew what he had and passed it on to someone who would appreciate. Sorry for your pain. SIGH.

Had a chance to watch a family member restore a 1934 Hudson Terraplane. Has taken over 35 years to do. All original. Horsehair seats. Wood trim. Ivory knobs. Love riding down the road with the front windshield cranked open. Gets lots of parade time these days now that the restoration is complete. It too had an accidental experience with an orginal gear box and a junk man. Meant it had to stay in 1st gear for many many years. Painful. But unlike your case, turned out well when many years later another piece located.

Indiana has 3 sub biodiversity classifiactions. Runs in approximately thirds. The upper third gets the lake effect from Lake Michigan with some Lake Erie at times. Even that third has 3 major snow belts. The type of snow changes between the northern, middle and southern portion of the state. I was raised in the upper most northern part 30 miles south of Lake Michigan. So the snow could get quite deep. Though school would not be closed unless the tractors could not get farm kids to the main roads to meet the bus. There are even ski areas in Indiana. But most of them are man made snow.

Born and raised in Indiana. But went to college in another state and lived in other states at times as well.

Funny about IU prof and Indiana Jones. I wonder the same thing! Have to tell you I have never hung out in the bowels of the acheology dept at IU. But don't you wonder how many IU Halloween/Frat/Staff parties had someone show up dressed that way?

In honor of this site....book: "The Harrod Experiment". Read it as a college freshman. Made a huge impression on me. A recent movie of a stay with impression would be an Independent film..."A Man named Pearl". I'll throw in this one. Broadway show - "Sarafina".

I tend a strawberry patch at the home of a family member. No garden area at my current place of residence. A few house and porch plants is it these days. Bummer but grateful.

I listen to almost all types of music from many eras. But do not seek out Heavy metal, punk rock, ganster rap, etc.
