This week's Members of the Week is Slevin. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosy, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Try to ask only one question (or group of questions) per post, to make it easier for the interviewee to answer the questions, and also to allow for others to ask their questions.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional.

Hi everyone!

I actually roped Katrina into responding to these with me. She hates computers, but she's starting to learn to like them lol

Gender (if not a couple): We're a couple
If a couple, which one primarily posts: He posts, she has seen the board and explored a bit, but almost never uses a computer in general.
Age(s): He is 32, she is 31
Birthday(s): Sept and November; Katrina tells me that astrologically we're not supposed to get along, but here we are!
Location: Canada
Relationship status: Married. We've been dating since highschool, yes we are that sickening couple who were highschool sweethearts We've only been married about 5 years though.
Swinging for how long?: We have been swinging for about a year and a half now I think. We talked about it a long time before we ever actually did anything so we have lost track of when we actually started lol
Prefer to swing with: We prefer to play with other couples, though we'd always entertain the idea of a single girl if she was fun and didn't seem crazy
Biggest Pet Peeve: Like many here; how painful it can be sometimes to find fun couples to play with that don't seem crazy!
Brief Intro: As we mentioned already we were high school sweethearts who stayed together and ended up getting married! We both grew up on the east coast of Canada and moved here to Ontario looking for more fun and excitement than the small towns on the east coast could provide. Been loving it ever since! We try to travel as much as we can together doing skiing trips, laying on beaches, exploring Europe and visiting friends and family

Website (your own or one of your favorites): Tough choices! Katrina doesn't have any favourites since she rarely uses her computer. When it comes to swinging sites it's tough to beat the Swingers board, though I do love a few swinger related blogs: http://sharedcindy.blogspot.com/ is a fun one.

Ok, so what are your signs? Is Katrina really into astrology? Do you both read your horoscopes regularly? What's your favorite place to get it?

Virgo (he) and Scorpio (she). Neither of us are really into astrology, but Katrina reads them when she comes across them in the paper or one of her many girly magazines she loves to read (InStyle etc.). She's not sure where she got the info about our signs not supposed to make a good couple, she thinks it was an astrology book at the bookstore.

I don't know a lot about astrology myself, I enjoy reading some of it occasionally. I am wondering if Katrina might be on the cusp of Sagittarius (and thus you two would be a perfect match - same signs as myself and Pet).

You've been together a LONG time - so what made you decide to get married when you did?

I've been watching your posts for a while now, and have noticed that you seem to have an uncommon amount of common sense.

Do you think so? To what do you attribute this characteristic? Are you as steady in person as you are in your posts?

She is pretty much right in the middle of being a Scorpio, but I had to look that one up just now! According to the websites I checked to double check it mentioned there is more to compatability than just the sign, so maybe there are some other things at play...or maybe it doesn't mean anything!

As for getting married, I think that we always figured we would get married. I knew I wanted to, but I also didn't want to get married too young either. I'm not sure why that was, but I really felt at the time that it would be a mistake to jump headlong into it at a really young age. Eventually I woke up one day and decided to propose! Happened pretty quick after that.

Thank you for that comment, that is incredibly flattering and I definitely appreciate it. I like to think that I have a good amount of common sense and I tend to tackle things in a logical manner. I'm not sure what to attribute it to, I've always been pretty logical so I assume its either genetic, or because the rest of my family is very similar.

Am I as steady in person? Well I'll ask Katrina that in the morning and see what she says lol.

As high school sweethearts, did you two have difficulty shaking the "love = sex" myth? (Or did you ever believe that in the first place? LOL)

Sorry for the delay everyone, I'm traveling this week!

I got Katrina to sign up so she can answer some of these herself since I'm not at home anymore this week. For my answer:

Incredible; she has the biggest heart of anyone I know and is truly a ton of fun to be around!

We first started talking about it by me bringing up the fantasy of having a threesome. Katrina wasn't too excited about the idea, but we talked about it every now and then over the course of a few years. Actually, I'd say I pestered her more than we talked about it! Eventually I wised up and we had some good, open conversations about it. We left it at that then dipped our toes in the water by going to a local swingers club, but not playing with anyone. It was even a while after that before we actually took our first big leap, but once we made the decision to do it, we acted quickly!

Separating love and sex was something neither of us were sure about at all. We both decided that it would be fun to take the leap and try it, but I don't think either of us really knew what to expect when it happened. I know that I was a bit worried as to what my reaction would be, but once we got into it my fears subsided and I had a great time. I'm actually curious to see how Katrina answers this one
