This week's Members of the Week is sexcupid. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosy, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Try to ask only one question (or group of questions) per post, to make it easier for the interviewee to answer the questions, and also to allow for others to ask their questions.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

We are a couple, and I (Maria) am the only one that posts. We read together sometimes and garner plenty of great discussions from the postings here.

I am 30 and my sweetie is 44. My birthday is the 9 month anniversary of Christmas (September 25th lol) and Jeff's bday is coming up on May 29th.

We live in San Antonio Texas. I am originally from Ohio and he is from Mississippi. We have pictures on our profile here on the SB and also on our Swing Lifestyle profile that are public pics of both of us.

We have been together just short of 4 years and have been swinging for 2 of those years. Primarily we like to do full swap with other couples, but a threesome or pile of people have found thier way in there a few times.

My biggest pet peeve...well...it's so hard to pick just one. In no particuar order: left lane/passing lane speed monitors, ignorance, and misinformation.

As for a short bio: I grew up in Southern Ohio (Ironton), attended Ohio University (Go Cats!) for a few years...life got in the way, got married, had babies...moved to San Antonio in 2001. Have worked various positions (the ones that have most entertained me were the ones I spent working for the cable industry). Divorced in 2005. Finally went back to school and graduated with a BA in Psychology and am currently in grad school working on an MA in counseling...hopefully to graduate in Dec 2010.

Websites I frequent: The Swingers Board of course...it's in the top 3 of what I check first thing in the morning. Facebook. Twitter (it's the new current addiction lol). Swing Lifestyle occasionally. Livejournal. The LOLcats...well they make me lol. I do keep up on the news. And unfortunately, the Perez Hilton website is a semi-guilty pleasure.

Yes, I tweet from my cell phone primarily, but usually have multiple websites open. lol

JoAnn: Yes, I usually read messages to Jeff that I think would lead to good discussions. Particuarly if I feel the message is relevant to something we are dealing with (or have dealt with) or if it's just something that isn't quite on our radar but is still an interesting topic (for example the poly forum).

Ask as many questions as you like.

Yes, I usually like older men. I tend to gravitate towards people I like, they have usually been older (for example: my first 'serious' boyfriend was 5 years older than I was...so 19 when I was 14...my ex-hubby was 8 years older than me....and Jeff is 14 years older than I am). Being older is by no means a requirement...I don't ask for ID or anything before I am interested.

The first time we met, it was actually Jeff's roomie/friend that was hitting on me and invited me back to their apartment. My thought? 'Woohoo...a 2 for 1 deal!' Pity the friend ended up not mentioning that to Jeff...but no biggie, he ended up going to bed and Jeff and I sat up talking til like 11am the next morning. So it all worked out in the end.

We both listen to country (Garth, Dixie Chicks, Rascal Flatts, etc) and rock. I tend towards classic rock bands (Aerosmith, Scorpions, Queen, Alice Cooper are on the top of my all time faves), 80s hair bands, and some 90s alternative. Am not a huge fan of most of the rock on the radio today (altho some emo Fall Out Boy and Nickelback are good). I don't really care for death/speed metal or hardcore rap. I do like pop and dance music. My best friend, sister and I just went to see New Kids on the Block for their reunion tour (have seen them 2x so far and it still makes my inner 12 y/o fan girl go 'sqqquuuuueeeee' lol)...so I love some pop music too. lol And Jimmy Buffett.

Jeff likes a little harder rock than I do, but will listen to the country stations too. At best, he tolerates the dance/pop stuff when we go to parties and clubs.

The one song I think of when I think of Jeff is Brass Bed/Stay with Me by Josh Groban. It was a pretty popular song when we first started going out and it reminds me of when he would spend the night. I used to sleep with the radio playing and it seems like every Sunday morning it would be playing when I woke up and would snuggle up to him.

For meeting in the lifestyle...we've gone to clubs, hotel and house parties, and just one on one meet ups (meeting another couple for din or drinks). We haven't yet tried a meet n greet, but look forward to doing so soon. Of those: the hotel parties were a blast.

The house parties are fun...but tends to be the same crowd and sometimes the play doesn't start until really late. But great folks and we always have a good time. And we also had fun at the club, but tended to try to set up to meet people there for potential playtime. The one on one meetings are fun too and we've met some great people that way. I think that in the interest of getting to know someone better, the 1 on 1 meetings are the way to go. And insofar as getting your party on, hanging with friends, etc the clubs/hotel/house parties are the way to go.

Nice! Wonderful choices. Have taken our teen sons to Nickelback and Def Leppard, going to Nickelback again this summer, and would LOVE to see Fall Out Boy. Nice to meet others who have the variety of music tastes like we do!

Yeah...basically I just start on one end of the radio dial and scan thru to the other end stopping on songs I like. lol My iPod is a hot mess of classic country and rock...new pop...oldies...a little bit of everything really.

Well of course the discussions leading up to jumping into the lifestyle were pretty big...but most of our major discussions have definitely happened since then.

One of the topics we keep retreading is boundaries and where they are shifting to. A recent topic of discussion involved not including our flogger (even though it wasn't something I wasn't entirely comfortable doing, but couldn't come up with an actual excuse that he would find legitimate...so it was more of a 'let's try it and see how it goes' kind of thing).

It is sometimes hard to navigate boundaries to stay within a comfort zone without the other person feeling like they are being kept on a short leash at times. Even though as far as "rules" we're basically down to use a condom and keeping the other aware of what is going on (with chats, potential playmates, or at a party are some examples of that).

One of the most memorable experiences was one of the first couples we met up with. We were in 2 separate rooms...he was tall, handsome...and willing to take the time to get me to orgasm...good lord, he was hot. Other memorable experiences have been a couple of 'piles' in the playroom at a house party. And once we played with each other at a hotel party...it had been a rough week, the sex had kind of fallen by the way side that week, and I ended up having a spectaular orgasm that I'm pretty sure could be heard down in the parking lot of the hotel (we were in a room on the second floor).

Negatives: a partial loss of trust after our first swinging experience and some heretofore unrealized insecurities on my part. Basically talking about and rehashing the topic seems to help with these things...altho I can say that this need to rehash does get on Jeff's nerve at times, he's a good sport about these repeat discussions (most of the time lol ).
