This week's Members of the Week is fordman460. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosy, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Hi everyone.

We are a couple, but I (the hubby) posts. The wife reads from time to time but has never posted. She is 36 this past january 26th and I am 37 this past November 17th. We moved to phoenix Az about 2 years ago from New England. As much for my job as for the far better weather here.


As for the swinging how long and with whom question we are still working that out. So far we have had one encounter with another male but it was the FMM equivalent of soft swap. (oral only) We all enjoyed it but just havent been able to get it done again, with her health issues and work schedules etc. So to sum up all that rambling, we are very early on in this journey and sometimes she is unsure of the future with it. Like I said she has some health issues and doubts her attractiveness. ( I think shes a hottie though)

SO here I am, ask away! And Im going to send a link to this thread to my wife and see if we cant get a post or 2 from her.

Who brought up the idea of swinging? What brought you into considering the lifestyle?

We've been together since june 25th 1992, engaged on July 27th '92 and married on February 14th 1993. So we just passed 16 years of marriage. We actually met at work, we worked at a nursing home. LOL

In all honesty I dont know which one of us brought it up, it kind of seems to me that we just grew into it (although she may remember that differently). We had opportunities presented in the past but I was too naive to fully understand it then. Then when I was deployed to Iraq the last time it really came to the forefront of conversation over IM with her. After I came home we had our first encounter with a very close friend of mine I was deployed with. Since then it comes up in conversation from time to time but it isnt a drivingf force in out lives. We are both quite satisfied with each other. But it would be fun to pursue a little. I think the problem is since the deployment and with another coming later this year I am something of a miser with my time off, Id rather spend time with the wife and kids than do much else. Thats not to say I wouldnt have a hell of a time but the first step is getting out of the house.


She pretty much listens to country most of the time, and I tend toward classic rock.

Who does the cooking in the household when you are not on deployment?

What is the favorite idea of weekend brunch for you two?

My wife is the cook. If she left it for me we would eat beef for dinner and nothing else. Or food that comes out of a box. LOL. Ive never really thought about brunch much, but I do enjoy our saturday lunches out with her and the kids.

I miss family and friends in New England, but I dont miss the snow sleet and rain at all. Hmmm the last movie I saw at a theater....Insert long pondering thought here.....I went to an IMAX theater and saw the Grand Canyon 3D documentary about a year ago. We dont go to the movies much.

As for a favorite book although I dont read as much as Id like to, But Stephen Kings Dark Tower Series has to be my favorite. Not a single book but you get the idea.

You guys were together just a month before you got engaged? Did you know each other for a while before you got together? or was it just one of those situations where you got met/ got together and just KNEW it was meant to be?

We had worked together for a couple of weeks prior to our first date. I was a too shy to ask her out though. Probably the best thing I ever did. We started dating and pretty much just knew it was meant to be.

So, from your username, can we assume you drive a ford? If so what model?

I drive a Lincoln Mark VIII and an F-150 Supercab and the wife has an Explorer Eddie Bauer AWD. Now I just need a Mercury to round things out.

Actually wayyyyyy back when we had some friends that I think were willing. Or at least he wanted to do my wife real bad (she was preggo) But unfortunately I was too naive to recognize it. I still think it would have been exciting and would have started our adventure early but we had only been married a couple of years then. Im kinda glad it worked out the way it did, although we are 18 years behind now.
