Marriage, like old age isn't for sissy's. Good and bad times are both parts of any relationship. You have to realize that neither condition will last forever and you try to steer a course between either extremes.
We've gone through Breast Cancer and other health problems. We have both been in high stress occupations. We have had all of the trials that make up a marriage.
We got through it the same way we celebrated all of the good times, side by side and holding hands.
For all of the newlyweds in the Lifestyle, Just like all of the books and articles tell you, you have to talk it out. move only at the pace of the slowest spouse and remember that it is all good and that you will be going home with each other at the end of the night

At the dinner party I think that it would be wonderful to sit with Thomas Jefferson, William Wallace, General George Patton, Jacques Cousteau and my dad. Not necessarily in that order.
My bride will have to answer for herself.

I helped out on my parents ranch/farm and my mother grew a huge garden. When we bought our house this last fall, it came with a great garden plot. This is my first year of growing a garden.

Do you have a garden? Any advice?

I feel that the most interesting aspect of the Lifestyle is participating and watching the interaction between couples. We both enjoy meeting new people and trying to find some commonality that we can expand on.
We enjoy dancing (I'm slowly improving) and the art of seduction. We now have the time and the mindset to realize that playtime is a very important part of living. Too many people get old because they forgot how to play.
I hope that this makes some sort of sense.

My advice is to NEVER consult me on anything in the garden. I have a black thumb. I am hard on plastic plants.
Seriously, after my divorce I was the charity project of a couple that I knew. The wife tried many times to brighten my small apartment by bring plants and greenery. After several weeks I would bring back the dead plant and the planter. After several tries, she brought me a large clump of Crabgrass that had been cleaned and re-potted. When I brought back the dead plant several weeks later, she vowed never to give me anything living again

Do you remember that old vacant lot between the railroad tracks and the housing project? That would be mine. Your mileage may vary.

SHAMROCK here. My advice to young couples is to keep quality time for just the two of you. Set aside time to play and never go to bed mad.

SHAMROCK here again. I really appreciate the fact that my freedom is limited only by our mutual boundries. We have managed to become closer with some of our Lifestyle friends in 8 months than we have with our vanilla friends in
twenty years

Outlander, of course. JoAnn and I have both become lost in that world.

For now, do you think you would prefer to make contact with people at houseparties, meet-n-greets, off-premise club, on-premise club, through Internet, or other social situations?

I believe I have six of the books. Are there more?

If you had the chance, would either of you time travel to that era?

We have have been to on-premise clubs, hotel takeovers, house parties and meet and greets (I guess you could say that we're just party sluts). I would have to say that while we enjoy each of the different types of get togethers, we prefer a combination of M&G and house party.
We have some wonderful friends who own some private property where they host regular M&Gs and usually one party a month. We've made some wonderful friends and had adventures that I would never have dreamed of a year ago.
We also enjoy the give and take of the internet.

I realize that there is much more to history than what is written on the pages of books. I would love to engage my guests in the whys and the nuances of the decisions that lead to their being historically important. I would also enjoy the impressions that they have of current happenings.
SHAMROCK will weigh in with her own views
