What is your favorite horror movie?

Mrs. CXXC and I have a food association with the lifestyle as well. We call it "Cake", as in you are having your cake and Edith too? Another silly play on words, but we like that.

Trixie moved to Denver in 2001 to attend a technical school and get into the animal sciences. To pay her bills, she got a job as a server/ bartender at a nearby restaurant chain. About 2 months later, in bops Speed, "hi, I'm the new service manager!" (Ohhh, he's cute ) Trixie and Speed started dating a couple months later, but had to keep it a secret for the first 6-7 months so we didn't get fired! We don't miss those days... difficult to know your SO is having a rough day but you can't go hug them...

As far as swinging goes... How DID that come up?! I guess things got started when we would joke about people coming up to Trixie at the restaurant and say "Guess who's flirting with Speed now?!" Trixie's response was always "Unless his pants are down and he's getting a bj on mainline, I DON'T CARE." We prided ourselves on not ever being jealous.

Then along came "Katy." This was now over a year ago. Katy and Speed became good friends, and it was common knowledge she had a big crush on him. She also had a crush on Trixie but didn't know how to tell her. Long story short, Katy kisses Speed when they're alone, Trixie goes ballistic. Trixie realizes she's pissed, not at the actual kiss, but 1) they didnt have to wait to be alone for that and 2) Trixie was hurt that Katy didn't kiss HER! (WTF....)

This blow-up sparked a lot of discussion about Trixie being bisexual and the possibility of bringing another woman into bed. Things get complicated with Katy, eventually she's out of the picture entirely. We keep talking and talking and TALKING. A few months ago, Speed found the Swingers Board and started exploring. We started talking about couples, and how would Speed feel about seeing Trixie with another man (how would Trixie feel?!). Of course, we all know how that story ended We've never had this kind of communication before, and it's really amazing to tell your partner ANYthing without being afraid of his/her reaction. We've really been working on listening and hearing each other, and we've gotten closer than ever this past year.

Gosh, Trixie loves all (especially baaaad) horror movies, but feels they never do justice to Stephen King (exception: The Shinning, though Misery came close). She loves any version of The Blob, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Nighmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th series, and any good monster movie.

As far as movies that actually scare her, it's not slasher or monster movies -- it's the psychological thrillers that get her. (think Silence of the Lambs)

Can't recall the name of the film, but have you seen the slasher movie where the killers are snowmen who've come to life?! The movie cover has a hologram of an evil snowman on it, and looked so bad it HAD to be good..... Trixie has never come so close to peeing her pants from laughing so hard at a "horror" movie!

We are not horror movie fans but do enjoy them occasionally. The Saw movies are our favorite. More suspense thrillers than horror...but still.

The rule in our house tho....Mrs. CXXC is no longer alowed to drink red wine while watching movies. She starts so easily that the stuff is all over the place.

Touching on a question or two...

No we really dont have a song. Is that wierd? I will admit that I (Speed) also have a few songs that make me think of Trixie. The song "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. I love that song... Trixie is my everything and that song says it well.

As for horror movies?? I have never been a horror movie kind of guy really. But then I think a bit deeper and come up with some.
- Killer Clowns From Outer Space, a wonderfully horrible horror movie from the mid-ninties?
- From Dusk Till Dawn, A great Tarantino film! Didn't see that ending coming...

Trixie summed up our meeting pretty well... I had been at that restaurant for only about 3 weeks and was already eyeing the lovely ladies there, even though I was not allowed to date them... Well, that didn't last long I'm so glad that we did meet. Trixie is so my cosmic other half... I am not ME without HER!!

And the swinging thing... yeah. There may be a certain momment that sparked all of that. I was at work when one of the employees came up to me and said "Katy said that she would totally have sex with you... and she would like it!". Well, being a man I then went right over to Katy and started talking to her pretty much for the first time ever. That then turned into a friendship that eventually led to "the kiss" Trixie spoke of. And well, the rest is history! Trixie could not have said it better. We have been communicating AND listening to each other a lot lately. Our relationship has never been stronger than it is now. Sometimes you do have to take that step backward, in order to take a giant leap forward.

I'm your "cosmic other half" huh? I actually like that a lot!

Everyone please wish Speed safe travels -- he has to leave for a funeral tomorrow, and Trixie will be so lonely while he's gone.

PS Mr CXXC, I saw the first Saw movie and LOVED it...second one was ok...never saw (no pun intended) the rest. Am I missing out?!

I've not seen these movies, but I just have to share... My daughter used to go to a college up north of here. Last Halloween, one of the senior boys at a neighboring frat house decided to dress up as the puppet guy.... the one with the circles on his cheeks. Same pointy cheeks, same squeaky tricycle. When night classes got out that night, he was following one of the freshman home. With each walk, this freshman could hear the squeak of his prankster's tricycle. When he stopped to listen, the trike stopped too. He stopped and started several times trying to figure out what the strange noise was. He only knew it started when he started walking and it stopped when he stopped. It was driving him insane that he couldn't see who or what was making that noise. He started walking home again, the squeak following more closely behind. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore and he turned around and seen what had been following him for blocks. The boy screamed like a 5 year old girl and ran the rest of the way home.

She said the freshmans' they followed around acted the same way the year earlier when they dressed as the red robed creatures from "The Village".

An endearing story and the lesson contained within applies to almost all couples, whether in the Lifestyle or not. I am glad you two are the members of the week.

I tend to hang back and watch these interviews because the questions I want to ask are usually already answered within the first few posts. You two, however, are a different case for a couple of reasons.

You're admittedly new to all of this. What do you each hope to get out of swinging? Do you have an ultimate goal, or are you just taking it one adventure at a time?

So far, has swinging lived up to your expectations? I mean, you had fantasies and such - has the reality of getting together with another couple or single been as exciting as you had imagined it would be?

How and why did you pick out your name Trixie & Speed? Obviously it's from Speed Racer, but did you get it from the recent movie or from the old cartoon series? (Just to date myself, I watched the cartoon series when it was new - about 40 years ago...)

Trixie here Speed may answer later (he's out of town but has the laptop). These are really good questions Mr. Lin! I've spent a good deal of time thinking about the first two...

Hmm...Speed and I have never talked about "goals" of swinging! (I thought we'd talked about everything!!!) I mean, when we first started talking about inviting others into our sex life I had the goal of being with a woman. Speed supported this of course, but if that were our "mission" we never would have talked about/ been with another couple, so.. When we did talk about couples and swapping, Speed wasn't sure he'd be comfortable watching me with another man, and I wasn't sure I'd even WANT to do anything with another man. (Woman? Hell yes! ) So I guess you could say that one goal was to find out if we could actually, really go through with it and enjoy it. Now we have fun goals, like meeting up with that couple again! But I don't think either of us expects to "accomplish" anything except having fun. I like that you called them "adventures" because that's exactly how it feels!

I'm not sure I really had any expectations when it comes to swinging. Well, I certainly didn't expect to find a fun, awesome couple so fast! That was a nice surprise. And it was actually MORE exciting than I imagined, and I was a lot less nervous than I thought I would have been. Once I saw that Speed was cool and enjoying himself, I could relax and have fun. It was totally awesome!

The Speed & Trixie name is inspired by the old cartoon series. Speed found this board and started a user ID that didn't really represent us both. I got interested and started reading the boards, and told him I wanted a user id that sounded more "us." Speed is involved in various kinds of car racing (auto cross, etc - just ask him about it LOL), so "Speed & Trixie" seemed like a good fit. BTW, on Swing Lifestyle we are "TrixieNSpeed" because someone already took "SpeedNTrixie" so be careful -- there's imposters out there!
