Default Member of the Week -- SW_PA_Couple

This week's Members of the Week are SW_PA_Couple. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosy, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Try to ask only one question (or group of questions) per post, to make it easier for the interviewee to answer the questions, and also to allow for others to ask their questions.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional.

We'll start each interview with a few overview questions to get things started:

Gender (if not a couple):
If a couple, which one primarily posts:
Age(s):
Birthday(s):
Location:
Relationship status:
Swinging for how long?:
Prefer to swing with:
Biggest Pet Peeve:
Brief Intro:
Picture (if you feel comfortable sharing one):
Website (your own or one of your favorites)

We are flattered to be the members of the week. Here is the twenty-thousand foot view. You are all invited to get to work on the close-ups.

If a couple, which one primarily posts: Michael
Ages: 57 and 56
Birthdates: Dec 18 and Apr 24
Location: Pittsburgh
Relationship status: Married
Swinging for how long?: four years
Prefer to swing with: couples
Biggest Pet Peeve: I am an incurable literalist. If I see the question “Sex?” on an informational sheet, I write “yes”. If I see the question “Gender?”, I write “male”. JoAnn does not like to be with men who smoke – even if the man “quits for the day.”
Brief Intro: We are a married couple. JoAnn has two daughters. I have two daughters. All four live in far-away places but still remember to call, even at times when there is no crisis abrew. We live in a suburban neighborhood. Like to get into our two-seat roadster and drive; will go on an impulse, sometimes without even a destination in mind. We do wish we had know about this lifestyle a long time ago.
Web site (your own or one of your favorites): Michael, NPR.org, Google, Wiki
Picture (if you feel comfortable sharing one): Have placed one in our profile just for this week.

How do you prefer to meet new potential partners?

Do you have a song together?

Where's your dream vacation?

How do you prefer to meet new potential partners? We have recently developed a preference for making new acquaintance at private parties and having personal recommendations.

Do you have a song together? Hmmm. I guess we do not. Can't explain.

Where's your dream vacation? We have already been to places which we had dreamed about. So I will exclude from the answer any place we have already visited. Scotland, Wales and the Cornish coast by train and motor coach, staying at country inns and castles. We want to ride that train that appeared in the Harry Potter movies.

Now you had to know this one was coming . . .

If you were a novel, what would your title be, and in what section of the bookstore would you be found?

=)

Last one I finished (nobody laughing) The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. Men do not come off looking good in this portrayal. I am half way through The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroble. People will maybe find this odd as I have recently posted we have not pets at our home and want none. JoAnn has already finished Edgar Sawtelle. She has recently read all four of the Twilight Saga books. I think I am ready for another SciFi book. But people don't write space operas any more. What's a guy to do?

Did she enjoy them? Has JoAnne seen the movie? Opinion?

They are all the rave here in Idaho -- mostly because the writer is the common faith here.

The title would be It's At Times Like This I Wish I'd Listened to My Mother. It would be in the graphical novel (the extended form of comics) section.

She very much enjoyed every one of them. To her they were just simply fun to read.

Every weekend we see a movie. On alternate weekends I get to pick. My weekend to pick, we went to Dark Knight. She squirmed through the whole movie. But she had her revenge and she had it quickly. As we passed an empty auditorium within the cineplex, she says, "Let's see this one too." We do often sneak in for a second or third movie. I was not paying attention to the markee -- I just followed her in. Two minutes after the movie began, I realized what she had done, Twilight. She sat spellbound. I'll have to admit, I liked it too.

She is sitting here with me. I asked her what you might mean about the common faith. She explained. Ah, I said. Many of the people I knew when I lived in Wyoming are of this common faith.

~Michael

I'm glad she liked the movie. I haven't read any of the books, but I did see the movie.

Which part of Wyoming did you live? In the summer, I live 20 miles from the border near Alpine.

Have you read any books on the topic of swinging? If so which ones and did you find them helpful?

What is your most memorable swing moment? Have they all been positive, or have you had some negative experiences? if so, how did you move past them?

Oh my, you continue to strike a cord. A Summer Place, which Starred Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue, is JoAnn's favorite. NCfuncouple98 asked before if we had a song and I didn't come up with anything but I guess the theme music from this movie would be our song.

Just to show you have opposites can attract, my favorite movie, by a long distance, is Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Peter Sellers is a genius. Stanly Kubrick is a genius. I could watch Slim Pickens ride that bomb down to ground zero over and over.
