This week's Members of the Week are PB&J. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosy, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Try to ask only one question (or group of questions) per post, to make it easier for the interviewee to answer the questions, and also to allow for others to ask their questions.

If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Swinging for how long?: year and a half

Biggest Pet Peeve: Lifestyle pet peeve? hmmmm... can't think of one off the top of my head. Okay, maybe all those guys out there who are "couples" but when we chat online ask if we like mfm's.
Brief Intro: Hey there. We live work and play in the depths of SW Ontario. We've gotten through the getting married, having babies, watching them grow thing, and now that we have more time for ourselves, we've found some new ways to enjoy ourselves (heh heh).

Whose idea was it to get into the lifestyle, him or her? How did you start out at first?

Your situation sounds similiar to ours. You are probably beginning to enjoy a new degree of privacy now that "the babies" have grown. Do you have to prepare the house (or condo or apartment) for their visits by putting away any evidence of swinging before having them as house guests?

It was his. I was the classic uptight-about-sex wife, with very little experience before meeting him 22 years ago, and he was... hmmm... VERY experienced at that time. Then almost 20 years of monogamy, and he was starting to say things like, "if we had an mfm..." Which freaked me out, honestly. THEN he had an affair, and when he 'fessed up to me, it snapped something in me about sex. I decided that it was time for me to start finding out more about who I really was (yes, I actually said "explore my sexuality"). We both decided to stay together, and re-invented our marriage, and then we started to talk about swinging. I hasten to add here that we did NOT start swinging to save our marriage- we started swinging BECAUSE we saved our marriage. We had resolved our issues and were ready to move forward together.

We plunged in pretty fast once we decided- spent the day at a big sex trade show in Toronto, then went to an off-premise club, which seemed pretty unpromising at first, but towards the end we got picked up by another couple, went back to our hotel room, and went straight to full swap. And there's been no looking back! A year and a half later, we are happy with our relationship, and with the new dimension that we've added to it.

Well, one of them still lives at home, but when he goes to a friend's house for the weekend, we get to invite people over, and have some fun. When his brother moved out we turned his room into a (ahem) guest room, with a nice new bed.

Mostly what we have to do is comb the family room for evidence before he comes home- like the condom wrapper I found on the couch after Saturday night!

When they are both gone, I can see us having a swinger closet in the spare room that just happens to be locked whenever they visit. (not sure what we do with the extra mattresses we'd need if we have some house parties!) Right now the incriminating evidence lives in PB's bedside table and our fun bag. My worst problem is remembering to put the bottle of lube away off of the bedside table. Although it just looks like lotion as someone walks by the door!

We really enjoy house parties. We've met some great people that way! We've also had a good rate of success with drinks/dinner after online contact. Clubs, not so much. We prefer to go to clubs with people we already know, enjoy the sexy atmosphere, then go to a hotel and play the night away.

We always swing together. I can't see scenarios where we'd change it, right now, anyway. We discussed this during the summer, and while we temporarily gave each other permission, nothing came of it because neither of us really wanted it.

We just finished spending the last three months working on a play. While it used to be something that I mostly did on my own, now we do this together, and it's been a lot of fun. Aside from that, we putter around the house, me with my garden and him with his toys out in the shop- like antique tractors.

Plays - do you write? Direct? Act? I used to be very involved in a local theatre scene and have often thought about giving it another shot.

I have directed and acted, been doing it for 12 years now. I love being out at the theatre: I have wonderful friends there and we always have a good time together. You should get involved again if you're thinking about it!

We have done both separate and same room. And at house parties, we are basically on our own all evening... although he can usually hear me, wherever he is (blushes). We like it both ways, but I get enough separate room at house parties, and really prefer to be together at other times, especially since the additional opportunities of 4 bodies together can be so much fun!

Hi PB&J, We are KL&B I'm KL ;-) lol. The man and I have found ourselves so thrilled by our experiences that we want to shout from the tops of the building...Have you ever shared the fact that you are swingers with your non-swinger friends? If yes, how'd that go for you?
