I have told one person- my best friend who lives on the other side of the country, over a few shots of tequila. She was very supportive. PB has told his two best friends, who were cool with it. But no more!

Damn I'm shy at first (more than PB)... doesn't last too long though. (giggles) We've met several couples over drinks and dinner. It still seems a little strange to be chatting with people that I may be having sex with later... but I'm adjusting. Usually we find enough in common to have good conversations, and once we've established that common ground we soon develop a rapport, and move on from there. I'm actually much more at ease once we start playing.

I also chat online with potential playmate- I am developing flirting skills that I never knew that I possessed! PB does very little online chatting. On the other hand, I really dislike talking on the phone, even to people I've already played with, let alone not met.

Damn, there have been so many great experiences... I truly could not choose.

Not big fans of toys- we pull out the vibrator once in a while, but I much prefer animate objects.

My advice would be to never settle for "okay", because there's always going to be something better. That is to say, out there are lots of sexy, fun people that you will really click with and have a wonderful time with, instead of settling for an "okay" time. In other words, don't get laid just because you've gone out and met a couple for drinks, or because you're at a club and might as well, since you're there.

And in the end, there is always someone to enjoy having GREAT sex with- your spousal unit, and that is never second best!

I read this & just had to say "us too!" For us, it's been almost exactly 5 years since our marital re-invention took place. We're more than ready to "swing" but absolutely refuse to settle (to the point that I sometimes feel we're too picky & searching for people we're never gonna find, esp. when we encounter time constraints LOL!)... so we continue to actively watch and wait, and meet some really awesome, interesting people along the way

We prefer off-premise clubs to on-premise. The drive to the hotel can be fun!
As for the first time, it just sort of happened- didn't know the people well at all, and my oh my what an introduction to the lifestyle!!! It still makes me coo a year and a half later.
