This week's Member of the Week is NCfuncouple98. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosy, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Try to ask only one question (or group of questions) per post, to make it easier for the interviewee to answer the questions, and also to allow for others to ask their questions.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional.

NCfuncouple98 is James & Lisa.
If a couple, which one primarily posts:
Lisa does most of the posting, since she lives on her laptop 24/7. James does post as often as possible, but due to his work schedule does not have as many opportunities. He works every weekend, only has every other Sunday off, and another day during the week. When he does sign in, he spends time reading over what I have posted and we usually talk about it, and then he'll add his input. When we post in the evenings, it's usually me typing but him sitting next to me and completely involved
Age(s): He is 37, she is 35
Birthday(s): His, July 3rd. Hers, July 24th.
Location: Matthews, North Carolina
Relationship status: Married 10 1/2 years. Been together over 13, and known each other 19.
Swinging for how long?: About 6 months.
Prefer to swing with: Someone with whom we have a connection/chemistry. Whether that be a single male, single female, or couples. We are still pretty new, and so far our only opportunities have been MFM, and we are currently seeking couples for full swap.
Biggest Pet Peeve: Arrogance. Swinger or vanilla life, we just both cannot deal with those that already think they know it all or have the "I'm better than you" attitude.
Brief Intro:
I grew up outside Philly, moved to New Mexico at 16 thanks to what I refer to as my dad's mid-life crisis. 2 months later I met James. This was 19 years ago. We dated for a while in high school. Years later, after both of us were divorced, we ran into each other in a bar while I was shooting pool with my brother. My entire body shook the moment I saw him again. 2 months later, we moved in together, and have been together ever since.

James has raised my 2 sons as his own, they are now 16 and 15, and we have an 8 year old daughter together. He also has 2 sons that unfortunately do not live close to us, but he is trying to build a relationship with.

We have lived in North Carolina 3-1/2 years, due to a company relocation. I am currently employed as a Systems Manager - which is a fancy title that basically means I train all our users and trouble-shoot our computer system. I am a glorified babysitter of 50+ employees.

James is an ASE Master Technician of 20 years. While he gets very tired of working on cars all the time, he's just damn good at it. He'd love to change that, but hasn't found another career that pays adequately enough to start over.

I'm 5'1-1/2 (Yes, that 1/2" means a lot to me!!!). Blonde hair, blue eyes. Curvy. Not as thin as I used to be or as thin as I want to be, but he always says I'm just right. My favorite phrase is "I'm not short, I'm fun-sized".

He is 6'3". And wears cowboy boots that adds another 2". My neck is often sore!! He feels he's too thin, but he's actually 40 pounds heavier than when we were married, and I say he's added just the right amount of weight. Now he has a real butt!

Those that know us well always call us the "disgustingly in love" couple. A girl from work recently told us how jealous she was that when we see each other across a room, our eyes both sparkle. And when we talk to each other, we pay complete attention and hang on to every word. Many have asked us how it is we stay so in love after 13 years. I guess the best way to explain that is we accept each other for who we are. That didn't happen overnight, by any means! But that's where we are today. Life is short. Why should it matter if there are clothes left on the bedroom floor, or makeup scattered around the bathroom counter, or that a pair of my shoes is in every single room of the house. Ok, gotta honestly say as we write this together, trying to come up with more examples of slamming each other on bad habits, we're both stumped and laughing about it. So in other words, does any of that crap mean anything? Nope. Not to us.

We are extremely sarcastic, and love nothing more than to poke fun at each other and ourselves every chance we get. The only downside to that has been trying to explain to our children that sarcasm is not always appropriate!!!!

Bottom line is that we are very much in love, best friends, and soul mates. We always have a good time together, whether that's watching tv, dancing, taking a hot bath together, hanging with the kids, whatever. We would probably have fun at an insurance seminar, as long as we were side by side.

We're shy initially. So a little bit of conversation to get to build a rapport. This doesn't mean hours of discussions about personal lives. Just enough to know that there's some chemistry and interest.

A slap in the ass and a wink doesn't hurt either.

Again, we are new, and both of our experiences so far have been with someone we already knew. So this is good for us to think about - what would it take?

Maybe some dancing. A hot tub. Hot conversation.

Bottom line - let us know you want to get us naked, and if we feel the same, let's all just get naked!

Definitely his idea. He has a close friend that has had a very liberated marriage for many years. Including swinging, open marriage, etc. They talked about it occasionally.

He first brought it up about 4 years ago, but I was travelling extensively at the time, and wasn't very open to it anyway. So it got dropped for a while.

About 2 years or so ago, it came up again. He and this close friend were talking about a couples vacation, and even talked about going to an adult-oriented resort. It peaked my interest, but then life happened.

Finally last year, he brought it up again. Understand that I was MRS VANILLA. I was interested in the fantasy, but not sure I could ever make it reality. So we started just slowly working on our own sex life. Introduced porn, sex toys, and more discussions about fantasies and desires.

Our sex life had dramatically improved already, from twice a month to twice a week. Then we renewed our vows late this summer for our 10th anniversary. This close friend of his happened to be his "best man" again.

During the after-party, there were a few drinks, including some pretty strong shots. When all the "parents" were gone, it got down-right sexy. Including my best friend and I taking shots from the cleavage area, with a little bit of tongue action. I was pretty turned on, to say the least.

James & I went to bed, got hot and heavy, and he asked if he could invite his friend to join us. We did, and oh wow. We now joke that somehow James found some kind of "sex switch" inside me somewhere, it got turned on, and hasn't turned off since.

After that our sex life went to 6-8 times a week. We've only had one partner since, another single man, and are now looking for couples.

Mr NC: I like to be pursued in the beginning, at a minimum I want to know they are interested. Once I see the interest is there, I'll go after it. I'm not comfortable just approaching someone I've never seen or met before. But if they at least make eye contact, then I know there is some sort of interest.

Mrs NC: I'm not real strong at making the intial contact yet, but if I see someone is looking over, or comes by to say Hi, I have no problem at that point of going for it. But I haven't been quite brave enough to just pursue them. However, there was one couple we met that I was interested in, and my boldest move was inviting them to sit and have a drink with us. We did, we all laughed and had a great time, and are trying to make plans to meet again.

Maybe after we've been in the lifestyle longer we'll both be a little more agressive.

Mrs NC: I like a guy that's and flirty, but doesn't come across as "Mr Playboy", or too arrogant. A nice smile and sparkling eyes will usually capture my attention. When he talks to me, he's looking in my eyes, not just my boobs or butt, and seems genuinly interested in me. If I feel like I'm the "only option", or there's just a "lack of options", move on, forget it, try somewhere else. He also has to show respect for Mr. NC - I'm not out there acting single, and don't expect to be treated as such. He must be able to look James in the eye.

Mr NC: Not looking for Barbie, but not 100+ pounds overweight. An inviting smile, humor and wit. Respect to my lady is a must as well. Some level of intelligence to at least hold a decent conversation with.

Favorite Meals:

Mrs. NC - eating Crab Rangoon right now from my local Chinese Restaurant, so I'm thinking it's my favorite at the moment.

Mr. NC - Beef & Cheese Enchiladas smothered in green chile. Born and raised in New Mexico, and just never can find good Mexican food these days.

We've been going to the local club. Have met a few couples that we have talked to, but it almost seems at our club everyone already has plans, or a group that they hang out with.

Have only met one couple for dinner/drinks so far, and it was nice, but really not a lot of chemistry.

So, at this point we really can't say we have a preference. We're really open to either.
