This week's Members of the Week are NWGA_Couple. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Brief Intro: We have been together for 5 years; married for 3 years. We started looking into swinging about 2 years ago. We made a trip to The Grove in Cleveland, GA for our anniversary in April last year. We have been there twice since then and look forward to going back when work and family allow us to.

I'll answer for me (husband) now, she should be on later this evening and add anything she can think of.

Two things really stand out to me, one was how friendly people were. People we'd never met, coming up and greeting us, making us feel welcome. Most of the people have been nice, even people that there was no thought of playing with or anything.

The best thing I've discovered was how much it enhanced our sex life. We haven't done any swaping yet, but do have done the same room sex with another couple or played around in front of others. Weeks and even months after we have been, just talking about what we've done, gets things so hot and fired up. We already have a very good sex life, but after this it is just WOW!

Where do you like to go fishing at ?
My favorite place to fish is at Fort louden dam on the Tennessee river. I haven't been there in years, but my dad and I used to go there and fish for striper and catfish below the spillway. I don't own a boat myself yet so now I mostly bank fish our small local rivers.

What do you fish for ?
It depends we have some stocked trout streams in the mountains here that I go to for trout. If I go to the river it's mostly for catfish or what ever decides to bite. I'm not picky.

Do you eat the catch or catch and release ?
If I'm catching the stocked trout I'll keep them since the streams here are managed as put and take streams. And they are tasty. Other than that I usually catch and release. Some times I'll keep a few, but it's rare since she doesn't like to eat fish.

Books or movies? What is your favorite? And what genre?

Him: I love reading so books are my choice. I'll read just about anything except for romance. My favorite nonfiction stuff is mostly military history or political based. For fiction, my taste runs the gamut from Louis L'Amour westerns to Tom Clancy techno thrillers to J.R.R Tolkien fantasy.

Her: It depends on my mood. When I read, I like to read inspirational books by Karen Kingsbury. When I watch movies, I like action, chick-flicks,and Disney. I have a couple of favorites: Fast and the Furious (all of them), Save the Last Dance, and it's a tie with Disney. I like The Sword in the Stone and Lady and the Tramp.

Well the whole nudist part came up before the swinging did. I (the husband) was trying to figure out what we were going to do for our 2nd anniversary. I wanted to come up with something completely off the wall neither of us had done before. I found the grove's website and thought it sounded interesting. I showed it to her and she liked the idea of the nudism so we decided to go. After we had decided that we were going to do that, I found out about the swinging going on there. Back then, they mostly advertised themselves as an adult nudist resort and we didn't notice that small section of the website about swinging when we first decided to go. I let her know what I found and we both weren't real sure that part was for us but even if it wasn't we could enjoy the rest. I started looking up info on swinging and found this site. We spent the 3-4 months leading up to our trip discussing stuff and ideas I'd found here. Finally, we decided that we'd give it a shot, but we wouldn't do any swapping; just watch and be watched. We wound up going a little beyond that and went into a private room with another couple and had fun with them on the bed with us. I know thats kinda boring compared to some stories here, but it's a start.

As for how long it took us to get nekkid, it didn't take long. We went to the pool with her wearing a see through cover up, so she was practically nekkid already. I was just wearing some shorts. After about 5 min or so, I decided what the heck and took them off. I think it took her maybe a couple min past that but not much longer to go for it. All in all, we were fully nude and comfortable within the 1st 30 min.

what would you advise a new couple to the swinging lifestyle where the wife is very very shy?

Really the best thing you can do is stick to the basics. Communication is the most important part. In a situation like that, you are going to need to communicate with her to know what she is feeling. You also need to be able to communicate to her that you are there for her no matter what. Just keep reassuring her of that. The other thing you need to do is, no matter what, go at her pace. Don't push her, don't force her, and don't try to beg/con her into doing anything she's not comfortable with. You MUST go at her pace, otherwise, you could do more harm than good. Don't get frustrated or impatient with her if she gets cold feet, or doesn't go as far as you want. Not everyone is cut out for this, and even those that are don't all move at the same pace. All of this comes back to communication. No matter what you must always communicate.

Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you. I will say that going the The Grove turned out to be the perfect choice for us. Seeing how things have happened for us using Swing Lifestyle and other websites, I doubt we'd ever go as far as we did if we hadn't gone to the grove. For us, the shyness on both parts interferes with meeting couples online for a date. By going to the Grove, we were thrown in with a bunch of friendly people. I believe that the warm welcome we got went a long way towards making her feel comfortable. You might have similar results by going to a local club. Good luck to you two.

What kind of music do you each like?

Her: I like just about any kind of music. If it has a good beat and I can understand the words, chances are I will listen to it. The only kind I am not into is gospel.

Him: I listen to country music most of the time, with some southern rock thrown in occasionally. I also listen classical music when the mood strikes me.

What's your favorite food?

Her: Hmm...favorite food? I would probably have to say supreme pizza of all things.

Him: Look at my picture, do you really think there is any food I don't like? Truthfully, I have a hard time picking a favorite. If I have to narrow it down, I guess I'd say seafood. Lobster and crab legs are always good. I also like to go out for Japanese, but that gets expensive.

What's the worst thing you have encountered in the Lifestyle so far?

Her: I haven't really encountered anything bad in the lifestyle. I have had an awkward encounter with a guy that made me uncomfortable. At the Grove, there was this older gentleman. He was nude and he kept coming up to me hugging me and telling me he thought I was sexy. Just him being so much older than me and it was our first time there, made it really awkward.

Him: The only thing I've had a problem with so far was people disappearing online. We had this one couple we were talking to off Swing Lifestyle. Things seemed to be going well and had arranged to meet them for dinner. The night before the date they called to cancel, but said they would call us later to reschedule. That was last year, and we still haven't heard back.
