This week's Member of the Week is cupl4fun. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Sunday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of.

This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Since we're a couple we'll be answering separately but you can address questions to either on or both of us. On the whole I've (Mr. Cupl) been the poster but she has posted some, reads with me, and we are both excited to be interviewed.

Biggest Pet Peeve: Mr. Cupl- When people won't return their shopping carts to the return area, and when smokers flick their cigarette butts on the ground. Mrs. Cupl--probably the shopping cart thing, especially when they're left in handicapped spots.

Brief Intro: We're fun loving people. We love our lives, love our kids, love people, and love to laugh.

Whose idea was it to get into the lifestyle, and how was it presented?

Actually, we had both been thinking about it for years. We had enjoyed some fantasies together and had watched some very enjoyable adult films with group scenes. I (mrs) am very interested in being double teamed in particular!

Well, we just started talking about it one night after we had both read a novel on swinging, and we both agreed that we really wanted to do it. We are very secure and happy together, so we were really ready to jump in and go wild!

For me (mrs), I haven't had a threesome yet; I did soft swing with Mr. and another couple at a club, but I think I was too overloaded by all the newness to really enjoy it. I am also very tight (tmi?), so I'll need to find a very patient fella to round off the threesome when if finally does happen!

Speaking of Jane Austen, I love Emma and Pride and Prejudice, but my favorite would would have to be The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky (Mrs.). My favorite movie is So I Married an Axe Murderer, and I am a big fan of the new Batman right now. I also love Ace Ventura #1 and the rhino scene from #2!

(Mr.): My favorite book has got to be The Stand by Stephen King. And I love The Shack, but I can't remember who the author is right now. My favorite movie is The Legend of Bagger Vance (Mrs. says she also loves that one--a sucker for any allegory). I'm also a very big fan of Chocolat right now.

It's hard for us to narrow it down, though. We read a lot of books and watch quite a few movies.

Have you done any Orgy ? I think Orgy means 6 or 10 couples sharing their partners. If yes, did you enjoy it ?

Have you had any worst or risky experience in Swinging ?

No we haven't gotten to do the orgy thing yet although we are both very up for it. That opportunity simply has not presented itself to us yet.

Best experience: Well we've only soft swapped once and it was in a loud club with people around and a very new experience. We were both kind of numb from it all and weren't able to really relax and enjoy it. So our best experience has to be the meet and greet we went to a couple days ago. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to know there are actually couples out there that like us and we like as well.


Worst experience: We met a couple very early on at Swing Lifestyle. We chatted. We shared pics. Had some awesome online sex. It was awesome! We thought "these are the guys!" So we drove two hours to meet them. When we got there the female said she had not too long ago gotten out of rehab for a "serious" methamphetamine addiction. Well this gave us some pause so we took some time to talk about what we wanted to do. For the next two days they kept texting us telling us we were being rude. They became very insecure and eventually downright creepy. So we pulled our account off Swing Lifestyle and withdrew for a month or two from seeking people out. But good came from it in the fact that that experience led us to seek advice on this board. So it's all good.

We probably would have just blocked them rather than pull our account off the site. You could have also reported them to Swing Lifestyle and tell them they are harassing you.

Back on topic - do you prefer to make friends first and see where things go, or sex first and maybe friendship later?

Since we're pretty new to this our thoughts may change with experience, but I think we probably fall more under the sex first then if a friendship develops that's great, but we wouldn't be adverse to the friends first way either! It just seems to us from talking to people, reading some books and reading on this sight that a lot of times if people get to close they give up on the sex for fear of screwing up the friendship. We love good friends, but didn't choose to start swinging to make friends. We got into the lifestyle for sex first so that's kind of how we approach it.

Oh and you're right we should have just blocked this couple, but we were/are newbs and unsure of ourselves and made kind of a knee jerk decision.

What's funny about that last post though is that in my perfect world I would have a group of about ten couples that we were good friends with and anytime any of us had the hankerin' we could just call each other up and have some fun. I guess what I was trying to say earlier is if we met a couple, liked them and felt an attraction to them we would be more than happy to have sex with them. We don't have to "know you" in order to "get to know you."

May I ask for further clarification on why these particular pet peeves annoy you so much? The shopping cart thing is rather interesting - I mean, I've often found it annoying ... but not to the point where I seriously consider it a "peeve"

And the cigarette butts on the ground thing?? ...oh I'm *SO* there with you on that.

Do you get just as annoyed as I do when people ash their cigarettes "anywhere" because they feel it's their right to use the planet as their ash-tray?? I especially hate it seeing it when I'm driving - because cars have friggin' ash trays in them!! (I don't care if it costs extra on newer cars - if you're a smoker... get one and friggin' use it! Or go to the auto-parts store and spend $1.50 on a little portable one you can set in your car... or use an old beer can for all I care... just stop flicking those ashes & butts out your car window!!)

For those that feel it's your god-given right to ash your cigarettes out the window - I have two words for you... brush fires.

Ah! Can I answer this question without going into my own rant?

First the shopping carts-Every forty or so feet there's a receptacle for these. But 50% of people refuse to walk those forty (at most) feet to put the carts away. Have we become so fat and lazy as a nation that we won't walk forty feet to put the cart away? Instead we just leave 'em wherever the hell we want. They block handicap spaces. They ding cars. They make the price of groceries go up cause they have to hire some kid with a cart to round all the damn things up! Every time I see carts out of there stalls it represents much that is wrong in our world nobody gives a damn about what they're doing and how it effects people around them ARRGH! Okay failed at not ranting.


Cigarette butts (and ashes for that matter) represent much of the same thing to me; just a complete lack of giving a damn about anybody else. Mrs. cupl and I got married in college pretty young and times were tough. I took a job at a restaurant. One of my jobs was to sweep up trash in the parking lot everyday. The only thing I would have to sweep up was cigarette butts! Most of the time there were like a hundred of them and I had to sweep up every damn one! People just put them wherever they want. Just like you said like the world is their trashcan (I actually hate littering period but cigarette butts hold a special place in my heart). Mrs. cupl says I have to stop and take a sedative now
