One of our favorites is one we call the "T" position. Basically he's on his side and I lay perpendicular to him on my back and put my legs over his legs. Another one that I really enjoy has me on my stomach with my legs closed and him straddling me from behind.

Two part question:

Reaction to the Lifestyle (From a Discussion Stand Point):

When initially brought up by the Mrs. you would think me being a typical sex driven male, I would just dive in. While it did intrigue me, I was a skeptic. The mrs told me that all the people were just like every day variety of people, but I just thought somehow her perception may have been skewed due to her being in the lifestyle for several years. I also thought it may be an endless barage of uncomfortable situations, because lets face it I was a little intimidated by her experience in the lifestyle.

If I had got out here and actually read the board early on I may have progressed a little quicker than I did, but odly enough I didn't really get out here and read the board too much initially for two reasons. One: I initially thought that a forum like this was for people who were "experienced" and that I might be out of my league discussing swinging due to my like of experience. Two: As long as I have surfed the web, I never had really developed a desire to go read forums. (I have to admit that has changed)


Reaction to the Lifestyle (From the Standpoint of the first social):

As already mentioned, I had a preconcieved notion that swingers weren't going to be your typical everyday people. When we went to our first social, I found out that I was wrong. I don't know what I expected, if it was going to be a group of people ready to get naked and have wild sex with no pretense to chemistry like a bunch of whores (that swingers are often incorrectly thought of) or if it was going to be a bunch of rejects that were looking for someone better than there spouse or significant other. However, I found out that those representations are the furthest from the truth about most swingers. You have a broad range of attractiveness just like you would in any vanilla setting. While sex is the common thread, most swingers aren't going to just try to jump your bones. Most are respectful, but what sets them apart is they are more open minded than your average people in a vanilla settying.


Reaction to the On-Site Club (From the Standpoint of Visiting the Red Rooster but not the Full Red Rooster Experience):

It really seemed like an open environment, VegasLee gave us a tour of the building, which I thought was pretty cool with the indoor pool. However, I don't think I really grasped the entire experience, because the majority of the night was spent talking to Lee and his wife. While it was nice to relax up front and just chat with the guy who ran it, I think I need to go back to get the full experience. BTW, Lee and his wife seem like really cool people.

I think my full exposure to the on premise club environment was in Nashville, TN at Menages. The Mrs has mentioned it to me, and we went. It really was a cool environment (but then again most guys dont exactly get upset with boobies hanging out in plain sight). However, while we were mostly observers and dancers the first time we were there as we migrated to different places in the club throughout the night, I felt like I could really get into the not-so-vanilla club scene. It was somewhat of an initial shock (for about a milli-second ) watching people have sex in front of me, but I think the fantasy mindset took off.

Well first off, I will say I'm not much of a reader, so msn news is probably favorite book. Movies, I guess I'm a little sick in the head, but "Shawshank Redemption" probably is the best movie of all time, and yes this is the best scene of the movie IMO. YouTube - Shawshank Redemption
I really do feel like society on average, makes up alot of crap to describe things, and brainwash people as a whole. To be honest: Morgan Freeman is just being honest.

I like a variety of food:

Breakfast food: Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Pancakes and sausage or At Bob Evans, Pot Roast Hash with the Eggs scrambled on the side.

Lunch or Dinner: There is this great mexican place (the rose pepper in Nashville, TN), but we do tend to like mexican food. Then we do like I guess non-fishy fish, if that makes sense (One chain we tend to like is Bonefish Grille). One food which is messy and while some think they've had wings, they haven't had wings until they've had Beuregard's Jamaican Jerk buffalo wings in my home town. (Huntsville, AL) Probably not the type of food you want on swingers outing though. It's messy and hard not to look like a pig. Then there is Thai Food, so non-curry lovers beware. But I do tend to like meat loaf and steaks. So my food choices are probably all over the board.

Yes, we both like the T-Position. By frequently changing positions during sex, we have found one position that is with me on my knees straddling one of her legs and her on her side where I can reach pretty much everything (hair, back, breast, ass, etc...you get the picture). It's almost like doggie style with her on her side though. This may not be the favorite (there are so many), but it does rank high on the list.

Definitly not, 1. Because I probably didn't even know what the "Lifestyle" was, and 2. I don't know that we expressed ourselves verbally enough about sex and sexual desires due to a lack of maturity on both parts (but probably more my part than hers).

I've always enjoyed reading. I took a bit of a haitus from reading for several years as an adult but I've gotten back to it lately. When I was a kid I would literraly read ANYTHING (cereal boxes). I've also always enjoyed puzzles and board games. We still play board games around here and I still enjoy puzzles occasionally but with cats it's difficult to find a place to do them.

I think the toughest part was/is being scared of pushing him past his boundaries. Those who have met me know that I can be a bit wild at times and I have to hold myself back sometimes to make sure that I'm not just jumping into something without making absolutely sure that he's ok first.

The initial conversation was more about me explaining to him about this site and about what my past was. I don't recall a conversation where I was trying to talk him into anything. I just put everything out there that he needed to know ABOUT ME and left the door open. My telling him about everything wasn't with the intent to get him to swing just my being honest with him.

I don't really know. There are weeks where I won't watch ANY and then others where I'll watch 2 or 3. Or when I'm laid up sick... that's about all I do. Most of my trivia knowledge goes back beyond the last 5 years. I've probably missed as many major movies in the last 5 years as I've seen. But up to that point I think going to the movies was from the time I got out of HS the primary "going out". With my first husband it seemed the only common interests we had were swinging and movies, and before that I went to the movies a lot as well. When Pet and I were dating the first time around there was a $1 movie theatre here that we went to a lot because it was a good way to have a cheap date.

I've never replied directly to you...I've been on so many sites where the moderators are a group of people with one profile, I tend to assume that w/ every site. It's nice to see that you're real, & I'll keep that in mind for the future!
My question to you is:
As a couple who's thus far stuck to soft swinging, have you ever had a hard time or bad experience with another couple not repescting your boundaries? Do you have any personal advice on that topic?

I'm definately real as is everyone here. Each and every moderator started out as an active member on the site (just like you) and over time as they proved that they wanted to be involved in helping out and that they typically try to be fair when responding to others, I have invited various people to join the moderator team. There's no way one person could do all the moderating on this site (or most active sites) and actually keep it free of spam and running smoothly.

As a couple who's thus far stuck to soft swinging, have you ever had a hard time or bad experience with another couple not repescting your boundaries? Do you have any personal advice on that topic?

So far we haven't had a problem with this. Keep in mind I was previously a full-swap swinger in my first marriage. The closest example I can give was recently at the Splash party we had a couple that I already knew and they (mostly the male half) didn't think twice about kissing onme and at one point feeling me up without asking. It didn't really bother me but I found out after the fact that it really bothered Pet (and then finding out the guys reasoning for his actions really bothered me). The best advice I can give is to know your own boundaries, it's much easier to keep others from crossing them if you are both clear on them to start with.

I posted about starting the site here, but more specifically about adding the forums. I think I just felt it was the next step in adding something extra to the site, something I've always tried to do. Since we still had personal ads at the time as well as all the other content that still exists we had a good amount of regular visitors and it really didn't take long for the forums to take off.

As far as keeping off the flamewars, I try to lead by example. It's not that it doesn't happen on occasion but when it does the mods and myself try to "nip it in the bud". Same thing on Spam. I think where many forums go bad is through lack of good moderation. Too often forums are started then forgotten by the person who started them, or they think that once they get going they will just run themselves and it doesn't work that way.

The one time we did have issues with flamewars was early on when we still allowed political discussion (we even had a subforum for such discussions). Unfortunately, that just proved to be too volitile of a topic and it was agreed that they had to go for the sake of the site as a whole.

I think we split the cooking at home pretty evenly. Right at this moment he's in the kitchen cooking Tilapia and Red Potatoes. Fish is a common staple at home and I've been pulling a lot of recipes off of the Weight Watchers site lately. One of our favorite things that I make is the Taco Soup that I posted the recipe for here. Personally, I think he's the better cook overall. I do well with recipes (and usually add to them and change things up making them better), but I'm not as good with trying to come up with what I'm making on my own.
